    This has been in here since 2017 and "Under review" for a year. Without classification, labeling and protection of calendar items AIP is only half a product. This MUST be addressed and soon.

    Hello Nir, I was asked to comment why our organisation requires this feature. We are a long time user of Titus Classification, we have nearly 10 years of documents and emails that have been classified in a very specific way. Much effort has gone into adapting documents and templates and systems to accommodate the visual markings we apply.

    Our legacy system (Titus) allowed us to insert a header string into Outlook emails while our Office documents use a footer string. AIP Classic client also allows us to do this. If we have to change our existing visual markings it will be costly to our organisation in terms of time and effort and increased support calls. This is one of the main reasons why we cannot yet consider migrating to the Unified Labelling client.

    Need to add that this feature should also be applicable to the Mobile/Mac/OWA clients as well as the Windows client.

    This is a must have for my organisation, we already had this in our legacy Titus classification solution, we have it in V1 Classic AIP we must have it in V2 UL and V3 built-in.

    It is clear that the AIP Viewer is reading the the POLICY.MSIP file because the "Report an Issue" link uses the details I configured for AIP Client in the "ReportAnIssueLink" advanced settings.

    James / David,

    I have the following code which can be used in Outlook to select a classification originally posted here https://msip.uservoice.com/forums/600097-azure-information-protection/suggestions/35485957-support-default-label-for-bulk-email-processes

    try this - its crude but works - it can be easily tidied up to make selection of classification much easier. Change label names and insert your relevant GUIDS as needed.

    Sub CreateMail()

    Dim myItem As Object

    Dim nameSpace, labelPublic, labelInternal, labelConfidential, labelExternal, labelStrictly As String

    nameSpace = "http://schemas.microsoft.com/mapi/string/{00020386-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}/msip_labels"

    labelPublic = "MSIP_Label_your_label_guid_here_Enabled=True;"

    labelInternal = "MSIP_Label_your_label_guid_here_Enabled=True;"

    labelConfidential = "MSIP_Label_your_label_guid_here_Enabled=True;"

    labelExternal = "MSIP_Label_your_label_guid_here_Enabled=True;"

    labelStrictly = "MSIP_Label_your_label_guid_here_Enabled=True;"

    Set myItem = Application.CreateItem(olMailItem)

    myItem.Subject = "Outlook Automation with AIP"

    myItem.To = "insert.address@here.com"

    myItem.Body = "Testing AIP Outlook message created by VBA code - hooray!!! At last Success"

    'myItem.PropertyAccessor.SetProperty nameSpace, labelPublic 'Public

    'myItem.PropertyAccessor.SetProperty nameSpace, labelInternal 'For internal use only

    'myItem.PropertyAccessor.SetProperty nameSpace, labelConfidential 'Confidential

    'myItem.PropertyAccessor.SetProperty nameSpace, labelExternal 'External Communication

    myItem.PropertyAccessor.SetProperty nameSpace, labelStrictly 'Strictly Confidential

    'myItem.Display

    myItem.Send

    End Sub

    Currently the configuration of Unified Labelling "Label advanced settings" & "label policy settings" is only available through PowerShell. For some organisations this is not ideal as not everyone has PowerShell skills, also, in my particular organisation getting a remote PowerShell session to the cloud is incredibly difficult and overly complex.
    Please consider adding this to the admin portals.
