Yes this is a must especially with guest accounts. If a guest doesn't log into to our tenant but a malicious user does before they do they have the option to login to this tenant which they are a guest on and access that 3rd party data. Which is even worse as it's not stopping the attack but letting it spread.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback and votes on this item. We’re working through a couple of options and hope to have more information shortly. It’s a very difficult problem to solve since group membership is consumed across many different aspects of Microsoft 365. Thanks for your patience and keep the feedback coming!

I see they have this but you're right it doesn't include a sample.
There is an issue open on this here, https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/OfficeDocs-MicrosoftSearch/issues/42.

We’ve recently shipped the ability to change the SharePoint Site URL associated with a Microsoft 365 Group (formerly Office 365 Group). https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=56205. This can be done via the SharePoint Admin Center. The site URL can be changed on a per-site basis, but currently we don’t have plans to allow admins to change the global default from “/sites” to something different.
