The 3 million file document limit for a review set needs to be extended or the ability to delete or amend a review set needs to be added to Advanced eDiscovery. We have found AED difficult to use with extremely large cases dues to these limitations. There is no way to estimate how many documents will surface as part of a search for a review set before creating it, but once the data has been added to the review set it cant be amended or removed. So therefore once you hit the 3million document limit for a review set there is no way of going back or amending the review set, and the case itself has to be deleted and started again!!! there is also no alert or warning to say that you will hit the limit.

the ability to export a users archive mailbox separately to their primary mailbox easily should be a function available against the Microsoft tenant both with PowerShell and within eDiscovery. I am in the middle of a migration of around 2000 users to another tenant and this has caused me a major headache as there is no ability currently that I can find that allows you to just extract the Archive mailbox even though this is in effect a completely separate entity to the primary mailbox on its own. I have had to there migrate the primary mailbox with the 3rd party migration tool, but as the other tenant environment do not use Archiving i have had to use eDiscovery to export based on the archiving policy dates. Again this is not fool proof as users archive data manually outside of automatic policies and has caused me even further workload.
