Not sure why they haven't done this yet. This is a no brainer. Give us a solution to backup mail, sharepoint, onedrive, etc. I expect to pay for it but I would love to be able to do this as SaaS in Azure. Having it Azure and specifically Azure Government would help me meet my compliance requirements.

With the way it sits right now AIP takes sharepoint back to a non-collaborative platform. You basically have to make the decision between collaboration or security. With all the regulations these days we need this feature to work correctly.

I understand the need to be compliant with many different standards when it comes to rolling out a new feature, but the communication is very lacking. There are things on the road map with a expected release date a month or two prior to the last update and little to no information. Even if you sent a quarterly email with some basics. Please understand that our customers (the people we support) get a bad image of Microsoft when I tell them what the roadmap says. The more information I can give them, the better it can make Microsoft look.
