There are too many issues with Skype for business. It does not make sense that regular Skype basic functionality, such as conversations with regular Skype users, visual appearance, adding contacts, etc....is not included in Skype for business. It is unbelivable that regular skype contacts cannot be added/saved in Skype for business. I am able to IM from regular Skype to Skype for business but not the other way round?????
Tried to add a regular skype contact in Skype for business and it shows up with a pending status for days and does not let you IM or connect...or I get some message about not being able to send messages to regular skype users due to company policy?? Spent hours with multiple tech support engineers and seems like this is just beyond their ability to resolve as it is a product issue. Can't seem to use Skype for business for IM with regular skype contacts as needed. Seriously....Very disappointing!!!
Microsoft needs to stick to their word and move in a forward moving direction with better product improvisation actions, making things more user friendly, with better features and maintaining basic necessities and functionality.....You would think a paid subscription would have better features than a free account......not in the case of Skype for business. Lync used to be a lot better. I used to vouch for Microsoft products in the past. I am disappointed to say the experience with office 365 business premium account trial and testing recently is beginning to change my view.
In the best interest of Microsoft, I think someone should pay prioritize and pay attention and fix known issues that are coming to light with office 365 that did not exist with prior versions of Office products that users are familiar with and enjoyed!!!
