This would be very beneficial for our institution as well and would help reduce confusion for students and employees alike.

This is the #1 barrier for adoption of Teams/Planner in my organization. Please implement the ability to have a truly "private group" and a public group.
We’ve completed work to hide groups from Outlook (GAL, left nav, and name resolution) that were created as a result of a new Team in Microsoft Teams. Additional Groups can also be hidden using the HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled flag. We’re now evaluating if there are additional scenarios that need to be supported.
Any updates on this O365 Feedback team? Our environment would have serious problems with the current options of public/private. Can you just change private to have the same settings as "Secret"? The "private" group setting is not that "private" if people can email that email address and it shows up in the GAL (I just had this happen today).
