Thank you for your feedback!
We are considering adding the option of prices exclusive of VAT. You can create that Expense item and mark it as VAT = 0 and therefore VAT won’t be calculated in this item.
Regarding the manual change of value, we don’t see any good alternative right now as the amount (e.g. travel and accommodation) will be different from one invoice to the other.
Unfortunately I have to charge VAT on expense items as they are an expense incurred in providing the service.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this issue. We’re currently investigating why you are seeing the US date format.
Thank you for your suggestion! We’re planning to make it possible to send your customers a reminder to pay the remaining amount. This will become available next year.
Thank you for your suggestion! We’re currently working on adding this capability and expect to make it available to you in February or March.
Thank you for your feedback! If we read it correctly, you’re asking for the ability to issue reminders to your customers that they still owe an outstanding amount. Is that correctly understood?
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but thank you for sharing your scenarios with us! We’re thinking about a possible solution for both scenarios, but specifically for your needs, would it be good enough if you could generate the PDF file on your computer and send that?
As long as the system doesn't automatically send the invoice then a step to generate the pdf would work fine.
A colleague of mine is required to invoice online directly into a client's system and an email would be ignored at best.
One client requires the invoice and supporting docs to come through as a single PDF. If I switched to using invoice with them they would complain. For this client I would like to raise the invoice but manually sends them the invoice by email in the format they have requested and use invoice to track the payment.
Thank you for your feedback! You’re not the first to ask for this, and we’re still thinking about adding it in a later update if interest increases.
Thank you for your feedback! We have this on our list of capabilities to consider for a later update.

Thanks, Eric. We’ll take your request for a Flow or custom API into account as we work to continually improve Microsoft Connections.
Thank you for your feedback. We’ve added it to the list of things to consider for a future update, if there is a need for tracking cost. Microsoft Invoicing currently aims at making invoicing easy, and cost accounting is not really part of that story.
If you need to track your cost, you might want to try out Dynamics 365 instead, perhaps?
Thank you for the feedback, your feedback will be considered for future releases.
and on plans for non-profits too
Thank you for your feedback! That is a valid point, but we don’t have an easy way in which to remove that line. We’re looking into a couple of options, so this will hopefully be avoided in an update later.
Thank you for your suggestion! We’ve added BACS payments to our list of things to consider for a later update, so stay tuned.

Thanks for the great feedback! If I’m understanding you correctly, you’re making four distinct but related suggestions:
1. Improve the contacts list by allowing custom fields (some of your ideas are geographical region, whether they’re still an active customer, which salesperson they work with)
2. Improve the Email Marketing feature by allowing you to bulk-add contacts to a mailing list after filtering by those custom values
3. Track whether any emails were undeliverable (and add that as another field on the contact?)
4. Enable bulk-updating contacts using a spreadsheet / database / PowerShell.
All of these are great suggestions and we’ll be considering these in the future.
Contact types is limited to Customer and Lead... most will need to be able to segregate people into more groups so allow other values to be created.
A separate multi-value custom field would be useful too to capture other attributes (possibly filtered by contact type field).
Thank you for your feedback! We’ll add it to the list of things to consider for a future update, but right now we’re not sure if customer groups or similar are quite right for Microsoft Invoicing.
Thank you for your feedback! We’ve added it to the list of things to consider for a future update since workflows like the ones you describe are relevant to several businesses.
