We use a shared mailbox for vendor bids. If a vendor's bid is quarantined, it will not be seen in time for the bid opening. A vendor could miss getting a contract if the email isn't seen in time. The remedy would be to check the quarantine just prior to the bid opening. This is difficult since only Administrators can check the quarantine on shared mailboxes. Administrators are not always going to be available for something that is time sensitive like a bid opening. It would be much better for the purchasing department to be able to check on their own.

The other remedy would be to make this an actual licensed mailbox. On a small budget, it's difficult to spend money on a license when a shared mailbox should work just fine.

This would be good when there are reoccurring meetings/events and the organizer has left the organization. As the admin, I have access to all calendars and should be able to remove/replace the organizer instead of someone having to create new events, collect responses, etc. It creates a lot of confusion.
