Thank you for taking the time to submit this feedback. Since there are multiple pieces and layers of feedback in this single post, it makes it more difficult than many to address. First, let us share a little about what we’ve been doing. Since this post was made, we have prioritized performance and reliability improvements for both Message Trace (inside 7 days) and Historical Search (typically outside of 7 days). We’ve added details to Message Trace that weren’t there before, decreasing the need to run Historical Searches inside of 7 days. For Historical Search, we have improved the results to be more clear for those who are not familiar with the Exchange Message Tracking log format. Additionally, while we get the total value of Message Trace, we’ve also prioritized reducing the constant need to search & destroy. We’ve made tremendous strides in effectiveness, even as the bad guys got more…

3 years of working on it and we seem to have stood still..
Partners can't search, reports still take forever.
    No full protocol logs.
    More visual **** thats pointless.
Why did we ever agree to SAAS..

Can we get an update on this please.
I've not been able to get the work around to work this year.

Such a PITA having to swap to another admin account just to run a message trace.
How does MS handle this internally when offering support?

Shiney new admin center, and still no access to security and compliance as partner and the workarounds been broken for sometime now.
Oh yes 2020 it's a great time to be a microsoft partner!
Can't wait to see how we get s**t on next.

Still not sorted and the workaround doesn't work.

Will we ever get an update on this?

It's things like this that are telling me microsoft is just doing things for show and doesn't really care about things like security and its partners.
I'll add this to the shared mailbox support on mobiles.
All the broken MFA support. etc etc..

Also can someone tell the support teams and update the tech articles about this workaround!
I have been told multiple times in the last two weeks there is no way to do delegated admin ATM where as the above working on it note seems to allow me to do what I want.

Can this be fixed or can tenanted admin access be fixed for all areas of the office 365 suite.

We're 3 years on and we don't seem to be moving forwards with this or Tenant admin access.

You can use your own personal email with a personal domain to connect to any type of Office 365 subscription, including Office 365 Home. Office 365 Home relies on a Microsoft account for authentication. A Microsoft account can be created with any personal domain email, it is not required to be Outlook.com/Hotmail.com, etc. Once the Microsoft account is created using your personal email, you can use it to activate and sign into your Office 365 Home subscription.
If you don’t have a Microsoft account, go to the Microsoft account sign-up page and click on Create account. In the User name box enter your personal domain email address you wish to use. Fill out the rest of the form and click Create account.
Now you can set up your Office 365 Home subscription with your Microsoft account. This will be the Microsoft account associated with your Office download. If you have…

    2020 and still not supported...

So that's 5 years and counting..
I think that deserve a slow clap..
Followed by a quick slap to the face..

Have to admit I do like JS / JAN's work on a workaround. Shows this is totally an artificial issue.

As another option you can just use a single E1 seat to set up a business account and all the domains you like and then use shared mailboxes for everyone's mailboxes. (yes you can assign a password and use a shared mailbox as a basic exchange mailbox due to the shared mailbox / OWA mess up.)
Not ideal and missing some features but works fine if you just need basic mail.
But that's another cheap way to accomplish a similar outcome..

Can I suggest this gets looked at with some measure of urgency.

I've just come across this issue and it was caused by a set of spam / phishing scam email so this is now affecting business workflows and potentially a security risk.

Thanks for your feedback! We’re reviewing your suggestion. Remember, the more votes a suggestion gets, the more likely it is that we’ll do it. You can see what’s happening with Office 365 on the Office 365 Roadmap.

Just found this today, driving me mad the hoops you have to jump through.

It would be great if we could have an option as a partner on the tenants setup to select this.

I'd also go further and suggest a default partner regional setting option which them become the default for any customers we then setup.

    Genuine question to any commenters.

Why not just disable password expiry?
All it does is encourage bad passwords normally with a number on the end that incremental changes.
In its place just enforce complex passwords?

    Thoughts?

Personally I hate password expiry as it means I just have to learn complex passwords every x time frame and then I just give up and use simpler to remember passwords.
Vs keeping the same very complex password.

    Just adding to this.

I did have an interesting conversation with someone at MS today as the new protection center sent me over the edge so in my really polite way I gave it to the support tech full bore with regards to this and they told me decisions in relation to uservoice items are decided on based on the number of votes they receive to which I explained admins and especially partners are only going to be a really small % of the user base but yet we are the guys and girls who have to use this stuff.

So I'm now left wondering if we need to start abusing our power and sending out requests to our customers to start voting on these items so they can get enough votes to actually get some action on otherwise it's just going to be more of the same crud rolled out from the MS teams.

The other preferred option would be if MS had a different portal for partners to use and report items back to so our voice don't get lost in the crowd.

Seriously If all sent a mailer out asking nicely if all users could just click this link and throw us a few votes on to make our job easier I wonder how long before this was the top item.

Back to the main item though one issue with these global admin under the tenants is with them being unlicensed you can't use 2FA so they are actually less secure than just using you own logins what are well monitored and have 2FA.

Being an MS Partner is rapidly just becoming a punchline to a joke.

    Seriously 135 votes currently.

2 years on and no feedback on this yet.

Add it to the list of other bad decision with no feedback like when they pulled OWA app and we all lost shared mailboxes or the constant churn of new funky GUI's that just don't work.

It's just another it used to work and now that options been removed and it its place you have this shiny new thing that half the time doesn't work.

Now mid 2018 and still not done..
$$$ talks and if MS keeps this up people will walk..
this is a basic feature that should have been implemented even before 365 got out of beta..
