I know that the subscription was canceled. I was told I had to cancel it because the plan we were on was being eliminated.
When I emailed and called for help in early October I was told that I would have to put up with the notifications for 90 days. Then on October 12 I was told over the phone that since I called to confirm the cancellation, I would only have to put up with it for two more weeks (I didn't really have a choice - we had to cancel the service that Microsoft was no longer providing after weeks of prompting us to chose another service).
Now, on December 2, I am still having the problem that everyone else here is having. Every time I open, refresh or in some way interact with a browser window that has an Office 365 feature open, I hear a ding and I have to close the notification. I got help in removing the other Global admins from the subscription, hopefully only temporarily, so I'm the only one bothered by the ding, ding, ding, ding, ding *you canceled the subscription that we made you cancel* notification.
I'm not sure if my comment will make a difference since this has been going on for over a year, but I'm willing to give it a shot.
