Microsoft Office fat applications for Windows have a number of functions that are not available on the web-based versions.

If Microsoft does not release fat applications for linux, then they are charging linux users the same price for products with less functionality.

It is a very unsatisfying customer experience to pay a premium price for a second rate product.

I would be satisfied if the web-based versions had ALL of the functionality of the fat applications.

Another option would be to charge a lower price for web-based only Microsoft Office (no ability to download fat applications, regardless of operating system.)

Of course, releasing fat applications for linux would also solve the problem.
