  1. Online service to apply label and protection to uploaded documents

To allow for the application of Azure Information Protection to a file through calls to a service, which will apply the appropriate labels based on supplied parameters, and return an encrypted file.

Also to present a service which can decrypt and remove Azure Information Protection from a file.

  2. Display information about used RMS Template correctly

We haven't licensed AIP, so we use "pure" Azure RMS instead to protect our Documents.

When we protect a document in a Office Application, there is supposed to be a banner indicating which RMS Template is applied. But instead, the banner shows "restricted Access". But if you click the button for showing your permissions for that document, the right template is shown.

I opened a case at MS Support, but I've been told that it "works as designed" and suggested me to open this Uservoice.

Please enable the banner to show the right name of the RMS Template, so the…

  3. Align the MS AIP lower classification dialog with the classification label

There is the ability to change the classification label (i.e. to "Sensitivity" ) on the AIP toolbar, however when lowering the classification (if the option is activated), the wording of the dialog box always refers to the "classification label", and therefore can be misleading the User as this refers to a different term ("Sensitivity" vs "Classification label").

  4. Enable AIP client to authenticate with Windows Server AD.

We are working on a strategy to move from on-premises AD RMS to Azure IP; however, we have encountered a blocker in our migration strategy: Azure IP cannot authenticate a user not located in an Azure AD tenant. In this scenario, we have implemented AD RMS in a resource forest and account forest scenario. The resource forest contains AD RMS, the protected content, AD FS, and contact objects of the users in the account forest. The account forest contains the user objects and uses Ping to federate with the resource forest. These user accounts can use any email address suffix…

  5. Change behavior of no permissions to use different credentials as an option not default action

Is it possible not to pop-up auth window if when we open no-rights contents?
We warry about end-user try to auth many times.

If we have not any rights for protected contents, we want to customize the pop-up, or select pop-up number.
    (e.g. pup-up number 0 = pop-up error massage immediately)

  6. SPIF support for AIP labels

http://www.xmlspif.org/ defines a very powerful model to describe security policy and labels.

Being able to make more complex labels in AIP could be really useful.

SPIF support mean the ability to create complexe security policies (with classification and tags) and being able to choose which policy to use when creating a label.
