  3. Make AIP aware of multiple office accounts

Currently a user with several Microsoft/Office accounts with AIP will have the default profile applied to all accounts across all Office 365 accounts/tenants. Personally I get all my private emails sent through my private Exchange Online account labelled with my employers AIP Classification labels. I don't want this.

  4. Onboarding Control Exclusion list

Ability to exclude some members of the tenant being able to use Azure RMS to protect documents. We currently have an onboardingControlPolicy option to include certain users, but this is not helpful when you have a specific AD group of users that should not use encryption for compliance reasons.

  6. Unified Labeling client - change "Help and Feedback" to "Learn More" and function consistently as Online, Mac, etc.

The link to the custom help page in the UL client should be reached by the same mechanism as the other implementations - with a "Learn More" button. Reached from a secondary window opened by "Help and Feedback" adds confusion and requires additional material and coverage in training.

  7. Different internal and external encryption expiration of rights

We want to be able to have a time limit on a document with a sensitivity label that only applies to external users. We want internal users, contoso.com, to be able to always consume it while any other domain has the set time limit.

  8. Support for disconnected environments with the AIP Unified Labeling Scanner

In special customer scenarios, systems might be completely disconnected and not have direct or indirect access to the cloud service. This is supported in the AIP Classic scanner. We need an option to distribute the policy manually in the disconnected environment.
Even if this is some kind of niche scenario, it might be important for many public sector or highly regulated customers.

  9. Rendering labeled and protected PDF file on SharePoint

Currently there is no way to view protected PDF file on SharePoint.
Therefore you need to download the file to view.
When you try to view other file type that are protected such as .pjpg, download popup comes with just a click.
This should be happens to protected PDF files as well.

  10. Screenshot not disabled for Outlook live

By sending a protected mail to non-outlook accounts, upon opening the mail, I will be prompt to view the message using outlook live.
I noticed that when I open an email using outlook live (web) I can still screenshot the contents of the email.
    Is this a bug?

  12. Copy manager on warn, justify, or block email sent policy

Outlook email flow rules give you the ability to send a copy of a message to a manager when a user chooses to send an email that falls into the warn, justify, or block policies. It would be nice if we could do that with Microsoft Information Protection

  13. Outlook Popup notifications should be customizable

In advanced settings, when using the warn, justify, or block popup, it would be nice to be able to customize the information in those dialog boxes. You can do this for a standard email flow rule.

  14. Export of central reporting logs from UI

More on the aesthetics: allow for exporting of activities in UI instead of through log analytics, and display a total number of activities found within the UI query instead of displaying the first 1000. Customers are requesting interface to be more user-friendly for their staff who don't want to use KQL.

  15. Improve text on the Classification Recommendation Button

Currently, when AIP makes a recommendation for labeling or classification, the button to apply the recommendation reads "Change now".

It would make more sense from a user perspective to label the button "Accept" to indicate that the recommendation is accepted and applied.

  18. Set default label in 'Classify and protect' for Office documents

Currently, the “Classify and protect” feature in File Explorer doesn’t take into account the default label as set in policies.

This is due to a design decision based on fact that the Classify and Protect option is normally used for file types that do not natively support labeling and protection, and that usually Office documents get the label via add-in during creation for instance.

Also the AIP App does not distinguish if the default label defined is a label only or has protection defined for it as well.

This request is about changing the behavior of the AIP App for…

  19. Search function for Android AIP Client

As of right now, the Android AIP Viewer is lacking a 'search in document' function. Having to look up strings manually is severely damaging to the user experience of the app.

I'm suggesting you add this, so you can search in .ppdfs like in regular .pdfs.

  20. Enforce access only to users with correct domain name

Both in the AIP Portal (for admins to create labels) and in the GUI (for users defining own permissions on documents), you can choose to type in a domain - eg contoso.com - which we thougth would give access to users with primary SMTP set to contoso.com - it seems we were wrong!
What actually happens is everybody on the tenant which contoso.com belongs to gets access. A user which belongs to a different company/entity (adatum.com) or a sub company (foodtruck.contoso.com), but is on the same tenant also gets access to the file with permissions only for contoso.com users.
