AIP Client for MacOS (for non-Office file formats)
Provide a Mac AIP client that is consistent with the current Windows AIP client, and is able to classify and protect documents from the desktop. For the AIP toolbar in Mac Office, use https://msip.uservoice.com/forums/600097-azure-information-protection/suggestions/19602337-integrate-aip-natively-into-office-for-mac.
178 votesThe original feature of enabling labeling capabilities in Mac OS is currently available in public preview.
This suggestion was forked from the original general request to release an AIP client for Mac. Applying protection for non-Office files is currently available using the Mac RMS Sharing app which is not deprecated (unlike the Windows release). Therefor the suggestion is standing in order to release an AIP Client for non-Office files in Mac and currently updated to “Under Review” -

Enable Get-AIPFileStatus /Set-AIPFileLabel on SPO libraries
Currently, it is not supported to excute Get-AIPFileStatus /Set-AIPFileLabel command on SPO libraries.
We would like to use these commands on SPO libraries the same as On-premises SPS.https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/azureinformationprotection/get-aipfilestatus?view=azureipps

Users have an easy way to find and install the AIP viewer from the Microsoft Store
When a user (in a company that hasn't deployed AIP) receives content protected with AIP in PPDF, PJPG, PTXT, PFILE or other such format, they have to install the AIP app to open it.
At this point, users have to find and download the app on their own, which involves potential risks. Publishing the AIP app on the app store, and associating it with the relevant file extensions, would allow users to automatically find, download and install the application needed to open those files.22 votes -
Obfuscate the DLP AIP automation rules stored on the clients so users can't see them / leak then / work around them
Currently the policy.msip file is a plain text JSON file that can be viewed and edited locally. Customers have asked for this to be encrypted so it is not readable by users and other applications.

Support for rename AIP tenant
AIP tenant display name is included in the protection UI and some other UI elements.
If company name changes, the change can be made in the service but is not reflected in the UI (e.g. template list UI).
This can cause legal problems and user confusion.21 votes -

Protect contents by using "RMS template" + "Custom Permission"
Currently, Contents can be protected by "RMS template" or "Custom Permission".
Also, We often need to protect the contents with "RMS template" + "Any User".
"Any User" is decided depending on the protection timing.
Therefore, We would like to protect "RMS template" + "Custom Permission"18 votes -
Show the Classification Level in the AIP Viewer
Show the Classification Level in the AIP Viewer
Instead of requiring the user to click "View Permission" to see the classification level of a file through the viewer, place it in a prominent area similar to where we would see it in a Word or Excel document.17 votes -

Change the wording on AIP outlook warning pop-up
Current outlook warning pop-up says " You are about to send content classified as "classification" to on one or more untrusted Recipient."
Can the wording be changed from the techy/abrasive mention of 'untrusted recipient' to referring to it as an 'external recipient' or 'outside of your organisation'

AIP support in Adobe Reader Mobile App
It is great that AIP is now supported to be opened on Adobe Reader after installing the Addin.
However equally it is sad that this functionality is not yet supported on Adobe Reader Mobile App. Having this capability only on PC is half the functionality.
In these days of mobility when users access and annotate the PDF files more on mobile devices than PCs, this functionality should be available in mobile apps as well.Any timeline or roadmap when Microsoft and Adobe are planning to release this on mobile apps?

Retrieve E-mail address by using AD(GC) or Azure AD
My customer is planning to use AIP client with protection-only mode.
If the customer has installed OUTLOOK, they can retrieve E-mail address by using OUTLOOK address book in the custom permissions.
However, any customer have not installed OUTLOOK.
In this case, We would like to retrieve E-mail address at AIP client by using AD(Global catalog) or Azure AD as like Office application.10 votes -
Remove extra click when sending new emails
If users send a brand new email within Outlook and forget to select a label, they're forced to select a label. The users must select a label and click send. We would like to see the extra click be removed so that when users select a label, it automatically sends the email.
The extra click is an extra step which can be removed to increase efficiency. This also helps improve the user experience and adoption of Microsoft AIP.
