  2. Allow the user to select different writing styles.

In some documents (and web sites) I prefer formal style. Others casual. Being able to change style preferences from the context menu would be helpful.

As an example, if I'm being flagged for being too casual and using contractions, I'd like to be able in the left-click context menu to select "Casual Style" for this web page or document.

  3. JIRA+Edge extension is not working properly

Extension is not working with JIRA editor used to edit issue description or comments. It highlights spelling errors but when I'm trying to click on highlighted text modal with error description isn't showing.

  5. Policy Configuration (+Docs) Needed

It'd be great to see some documentation for automatically configuring the extension in Edge Chromium / Chrome, for use in Group Policy / MDM environments.

It'd be nice to be able to administratively set

    • Proofing language

    • Automatically sign in with the signed-in Edge Chromium account

    • Which correction types are enabled

Example, we have force installed the extension via Group Policy, but users must still sign in and set their proofing language manually

  6. Multiple accounts - easy and simple access needed

As you gain more customers, more individuals need to switch between different organisation's accounts. This is starting to become a nightmare. Different browser needed for EACH ONE? Are Microsoft not capable of providing easy access for little people at the end of the chain?
PLEASE Microsoft, sort this out for everyone.
(If this is not correct department, please do NOT delete, but please DO send on to correct place/people, Thank you)

  7. Stop suggesting removal of qualifiers

Right now, if I say "predominantly <whatever>" it always suggests removing the qualifier. (there are lots of other examples)

Please either remove this, because it is never helpful to remove qualifiers, or give us the option to disable it.

  8. Only apply the extension (editing function) when it detects the language that the user chooses to proof by the extension

I don't want to see red and blue lines under my text while typing with Chinese. And this issue bothers a lot of user (since many of us are bilingual)

  10. Do not display red underline if language is unknown

If text is in a language other than the one that is used in the Editor, do not underline all the text as incorrect.

  11. Come on guys there are words that I'd like to get ignored by the tool.

It's there on MS office and Grammarly how can you miss that? Every time I enter my company name the evil red line shows up.

  14. It's distracting because too many teething problems, so switching off and try again later.

It tells me words are spelt wrong when they are not, and won't let me add the word to the dictionary, which is distracting and annoying.

It doesn't allow for individual writing style, and so is patronising when I keep getting blue spotted lines under properly worded extracts of sentences, to tell me the robot can do it better.

I'm not a robot, and I use a dictionary and thesaurus; this extension isn't arguing me, it's arguing with other dictionaries, and the thesaurus!

I'll switch it back on again in a few months to see if it's improved somewhat.

  17. Trying to double click a word in Azure Dev Ops Description area fails to select it

I noticed I couldn't double click to select a misspelled word in ADO (I wanted to copy a function name). I verified that a correctly spelled word had no problem selecting it on double clicking.

  18. Cambiar de un idioma a otro rápidamente

    Continuamente trabajo en dos idiomas.
Debería haber un botón de configuración rápida para poder cambiar entre dos o tres idiomas definidos por el usuario.

  19. Include English (Nigeria) as a language option.

Nigeria is the seventh-largest country in the world and has the third-largest population of English speakers (After the US and India). It's a shame that Microsoft hasn't done much to acknowledge that. Nigerian English words are also found in the Oxford dictionary (please see the lick below)

  20. Editor indicator in input fields

For example, in Grammarly you know that the extension is working in this particular input field because of small dot in the corner. I'd like Microsoft Editor to have something similar.
