Office + Editor Browser Extension

  1. Review tone/sentiment analysis

As an option, would be good to see the extension flag comments that are even slightly aggressive in tone, or non-direct. This can be helpful for things like code reviews and other peer feedback.

  2. Color change for mail tips in dark mode

I use dark mode and in the previous version, Outlook email and meeting recipients that were outside the organization or Out of Office were highlighted in green which I could read easily.
In this new version, the default color is purple and I have a very hard time reading the address while in dark mode

  5. Should support Moodle forms - does not work for students using Moodle!

Should also work on Moodle forms - does not work for students using Moodle sites (Moodle.org), neither in Chrome nor in Edge! Grammarly or LanguageTools do work very well with the content in input fields of Moodle pages.

  6. Stop suggesting removal of qualifiers

Right now, if I say "predominantly <whatever>" it always suggests removing the qualifier. (there are lots of other examples)

Please either remove this, because it is never helpful to remove qualifiers, or give us the option to disable it.

  8. Improve performance when editing multiple mistakes.

Current behaviour, multiple corrections show on page, go to correct one the others disappear. You must wait for the whole document to be scanned to show the next mistake that had been found on the first pass. I'm dyslexic and can make a great many spelling mistakes in a single paragraph. (five so far writing this)

Editor will highlight all mistakes but has to rescan the text after each correction. Making the job of reviewing text for corrections a painfully slow prosses.

  9. Develop and Extension for Safari

There is already a request for Firefox, but making an extension available for Safari as well could help as well.

  10. Ability to fix each mispelled words without having to left click on each one

I have to click on words one by one which is tedious. I would prefer that onec i start to click, they automatically show up one by one

  11. I would like the possibility to exclude warnings that I should use a capital letter.

In many cases it is - at least in Dutch - not necessary or even not correct to use a capital letter, e.g. after abbreviation or for the name of a month (for instance: when I place an appointment in my Google Calendar, the items in the drop-down list for month are marked!)

  12. Remove spellchecking from website default search bar text

For example, see any term on Wolfram MathWorld. For one, we should be able to add MathWorld to the dictionary, but that is already planned. In the upper-right-hand corner of the webpage, there is a search bar whose default text is "Search MathWorld". Microsoft editor should not provide spelling suggestions for default search bar text.

  14. Editor Should Not Interfere with Normal Word Selection Behavior

Currently, if one or more words are underlined by Editor for spelling or grammar suggestions and you try to select and delete rather than use the suggestion, Microsoft Editor intercepts your first attempt. Regardless of whether you highlight the word(s) by double-click or click-and-drag, you must reselect and delete a second time for it to work.

One workaround is to use an alternative delete method such as backspacing over the word(s) one letter at-a-time, but that shouldn't be necessary.

Note: This issue was discovered/reproduced in Edge ver. 84.0.508.0 (Official build) dev (64-bit)

  15. Only apply the extension (editing function) when it detects the language that the user chooses to proof by the extension

I don't want to see red and blue lines under my text while typing with Chinese. And this issue bothers a lot of user (since many of us are bilingual)

  19. Align the spelling and grammar on divs that are contenteditable

I have a page with divs that are contenteditable and the alignment is completly out. The HTML and CSS are not complex but the underlines are far to the left and not aligning with the text. The page is build in the browser via the DOM like react so was expecting the addin to handle this. If I change it to a textarea element the alignment is correct.
