Customization of Office 365 Home page
Have customization possibilities for customization of the Home page (portal.office.com/home);
- Possibility to add mandatory tiles
- Possibility to remove tiles for users
- Add custom tiles (with a link)
Like the App Launcher customization possibilities.
Thanks for sharing this with us. The team is looking at how to improve the O365 homepage. These are helpful details. Others should please comment with specifics as well if they have ideas on customization improvements. – Jay Waltmunson (O365 Program Manager)
NEED to be able to add mandatory tiles, as well as add them to the start page.. the start page needs a lot more customizability!

Agree with many others that Admin should be able to hide and expose tiles on the default Portal for an organization, and that users should be able to arrange the order of the tiles on their Portal as they can in the Launcher.
Our users doesn't understand why they can't add their own (custom) tiles to the home page.
They love the customisation of the app launcher but keep requesting to add it to the home page.

Would love the ability to present announcements via a banner or even a dedicated spot on the home page to put an announcement.
Add new option "My Apps" as Start Page in my personal settings

I also agree with the request to remove the "Install..." link. We're a managed service provider. Our clients' users shouldn't be able to install stuff, nor even be presented with the option of doing so.

The worst offender is the SharePoint landing page. We need to be able to customize it so it goes to the intranet home page for our clients. The universal feedback we're getting (and we agree) is that the SharePoint landing page linked to from the SharePoint tile and the app launcher is gruesome, incomprehensible, and useless for users and provides no business value.

I'd like customization on this page. Allow me to modify this page and add my company news feed from Sharepoint, an announcement section, launch tiles for each of my departments, and a link to my helpdesk. If we can't do this, then give me an option to change the Office365 Start page to a page of my choosing on my Sharepoint Online site.

I agree with Rikard regarding the Add custom tiles with a link to the O365 Home Page not only on the App Launcher. I can create a work around for my users, but I shouldn't have to do that if that feature was available.
My team is looking to make the portal.office.com the primary homepage for our company. We would like to remove the unused tiles and add tiles for other web applications in addition to adding web parts from our current SharePoint homepage. This way the users have 1 place for easy access to all the web-based applications.
Really frustrating how something so simple can't be managed for the business.
Simply let us choose what apps to present to the end user on the portal page. Our choice not Microsoft.
You've been thinking about this for a long time, please provide an update.

When are we going to be able to remove apps from users start page globally from the Admin portal? Way too many apps that my users will never use and we don't want them experimenting with them on their own. Some of these are not usable in our line of work and we would like to remove them from everyone's start page.
Please do add customization to move/add tiles on the Office 365 homepage !
There are a bunch of Apps which will never be used by most of our users...
Add customization to move/add tiles again, I used to be there, now it's gone. Please bring it back.

In our organisation we too would like the ability to add custom links in the startpage of any (or preferably the members of a security group) users.
It's pretty unbelievable that this is not possible.
Aren't there any powershellscripts for this?
We really need the ability to customize the Home screen allowing us to add our own tiles. Thanks

This really needs to be addressed. Lots of our customers want to move to O365 but asking how and why such simple things like customizing the homepage isn't possible.
The customized tiles are great. The promotion of "most used" (AKA newest) apps is not helpful, especially for less power users in our organization.
the Huge BLOB "Welcome to" is far to big, takes half the screen, how do you turn this junk message off. Would mean that ypu don't have to scroll to see the options available?
