Cannot activate office 365 mobile apps on Chromebook
I am a tech from the office 365 desktop team; didn't know where-else to post so this is going here but let me know if there is a better site!
I had a customer today that was unable to login to the office mobile apps on Chromebook. It would give them the option to sign up or sign in. But these two options were linked together in the UI for some reason. It would always make them create a new account even if they tried to sign in later. this was duplicated after uninstalling and reinstalling the apps with a restart of their computer. I have been told we cannot roll back the mobile apps so I needed to report this issue as I was also not able to call our mobile team even with the phone number that is listed as mobile support. Also currently the virtual agent found here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/
only provides customers with the US general support number after they specify that they need help with mobile apps so there is not filter actually being applied to help them contact their correct support team. They do have an option for chat which I would be happy to try but I assume that will put them in the general queue as well from what I have seen. we also cannot access mobile support from the mobile apps unless we can sign in and activate the apps in the first place so that is an issue that should be addressed and changed in it's implementation
