  1. Office 365 Message Encryption: User Driven Outlook Plugin

Please provide an Outlook Plugin for users to initiate and encrypted email. I know this is on the roadmap for OWA, but most users are still using Outlook 2010+. Provide a new button directly under the current Send button that says, "Send Encrypted".

Our client base can't depend on users typing in **encrypt** and Exchange DLP rules for Encryption.

  2. Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) Whilelist - add wildcard support and/or extend the 320 character limit

Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) Safe Links whitelist currently has a 320 character limit, and does not allow wildecards.

Please either turn on wildcards for the urls or expand the 320 character limit to something much larger.

  3. Ability to add company logo images globally to all user signatures

The ability to add a company logo or image to a signature as an admin globally for all users would be nice. Currently the suggested solution to append a disclaimer isn't ideal as it always posts the image to the very bottom of the email, not the signature. This doesn't work for a back and forth conversation thread since it starts stacking the image at the bottom.

  4. SMTP Protocol Logs availability

SMTP Protocol logs are an invaluable tool when troubleshooting message delivery in on-premises Exchange Server.

I have just had a support case closed because Office 365 support cannot provide SMTP Protocol logs and I'm stuck, not able to determine the cause of a mail flow issue without the logs. The only option for send/receive information on a particular message is advanced message trace, which does not provide details of the message conversation.

Can you provide a way for admins to request these logs from the Office 365 support team, if not provide a way to access them via Remote PowerShell?…

  5. Admin Notifications for Zero Hour Auto Purge (ZAP) actions.

Need to have notification to Admins when ZAP takes an action on email.
    1) Need to know what was found and deleted
    2) Even more importantly, need to know what was found and WAS NOT deleted since it had already been read.

  6. MessageBind

The action of when a message was viewed in the preview pane or opened by the owner of the mailbox is not logged by mailbox audit logging.
Please have the "MessageBind" action logged for the owner.

  7. Preservation Lock enable and disable with special permission or at least with Microsoft Support.

Preservation Lock can be set so easily that if you click on the policy on the right it will give you the option of on and Off resulting in a lock that even Support can not remove. Either provide a secure way of enabling disabling to the user or at least give it to Microsoft Support to do it on Client's behalf.

  8. Reduce unnecessary nested includes in your SPF record, to improve DNS efficiency

If you run a service which might be responsible for sending mails on behalf of a customer, and consequently have an SPF record they need to "include:" in their own, I think that you should probably review it and see if you have an excessive number of DNS lookups in your SPF record.

The problem is that if a customer of more than one of these mail service providers, and they have multiple include elements in their SPF record, it’s all too easy to breach the 10 DNS lookup limit, which could lead to random email loss (recipient MTAs giving…

  9. Disable download option at library in SharePoint

At site permissions, by the permission levels option, I can't configure a level where the user just can read online the content of library and don't be able to download the content. That is to say, I can't disable or restrinct the download option even when:
    1. I assign a just read permission and/or
    2. I activate de IRM to the library. This option force to acquire a licensed and compatible software to read the PDF documments. Is not what our organization are looking for.

This is a basic option that should be available, don't you think?

  10. Ability to disable or enable Office365 Mail Protection

I am not a fan of mail protection or its administration in a Hybrid environment and would prefer to use a mail-filter device.
This is especially a pain due to the fact that legitimate messages are being sent to the Junk E-Mail folder by mail protection.

@Anonymous: This can be accomplished. Please see instructions and more important information here: https://technet.microsoft.com/EN-US/library/jj937232(v=exchg.150).aspx Before you do, you may want to verify that the mails are being marked as junk by EOP vs. Outlook SmartScreen filter. You may want to verify this by disabling Outlook SmartScreen under Junk Email Options. A large number of false positives which are reported to us fall in this category. A support ticket is highly recommended to assist. EOP performance is among the leaders, but any spam solution requires proper configuration.

@Leigh: It seems that you may not be asking for disabling EOP. You are asking to be able to disable the Outlook feature. This can also be done, but again, we would highly recommend a support ticket. EOP can return emails to sender if the sender is on a block list, but it never deletes emails unless you tell it to, and typically…

  11. Allow Exchange Admin Auditing retention to be increased past 90 days

The commands Set-AdminAuditLogConfig -AdminAuditLogAgeLimit do not work on 365. We have a requirement to keep all admin logs for 3 years but this cannot be performed.

At this point, the Office 365 service only allows for the retention of audit entries for 90 days. Can you provide us more information regarding your requirement to keep logs for 3 years. Is this a legal obligation? Please provide details around the specific audit entries you would like to retain for an extended period of time.

  12. Add 3rd party Authenticator support to Office 365 2-factor auth

Please add support for 3rd party 2-factor authenticator apps like LastPass Authenticator or Google Authenticator by adding support for RFC 6238 "TOTP: Time-Based One-Time Password Algorithm".

I don't want to fill my phone with vendor-specific authenticator apps.

  13. Provide litigation hold for OneDrive for Business sites

After OneDrive for Business is deployed , users don't send attachments over mail. This means most of the documents will reside in onedrive and shared between users as co-authoring is possible. This creates a need to have a litigation hold on the document to identify what all changes happened to the document and who made these changes. This is a huge challenge even faced by even Audit firms which moved to O365. Would appreciate if Litigation hold capabilities are made available for ODFB.

  14. Audit report showing encrypted messages sent

Messages are encrypted automatically according to rules. However, there is no way to confirm for audit purposes that a message was actually encrypted.

  15. Mailbox Auditing enabled by default

We would like to have mailbox auditing enabled by default for all mailboxes in Office 365. We should not have to manually enable for new users as they are added (via PS). Can we not have a way of enabling this for all mailboxes on the tenant?

  16. Add a "Trust this Device" option to reduce frequency of multi-factor prompt

Most multi-factor/ 2-factor authentication schemes allow the user to check a box when they login using the second factor of authentication to say "Trust this Device", meaning "Don't ask for the second-factor code again on this device (optionally: for X days)". [Google, LastPass, Yahoo, ...]

Microsoft Office 365 does not have this, which makes good login security unnecessarily burdensome, as the user must have their second factor authentication device with them at all times and use it every time they login.

Some users will refuse to use it at all, given the extra burden. Others will use it but be…

  17. Force Modern Authentication

The powershell command Set-OrganizationConfig -OAuth2ClientProfileEnabled $true enabled Modern Authentication methods for Exchange Online, allowing the ability to create Conditional Access Policies, which can require domain joined devices or MFA, etc. Unfortunately legacy Outlook clients just bypass this policy by falling back to legacy authentication.

There is currently no way to REQUIRE modern authentication without using ADFS. We would like this feature!

  18. New function proporsal : Coping eDiscovery result to Discovery mailbox operation from S/C center.

Operations from sc center that Copy eDiscovery search results to a discovery mailbox would be very useful.

This operation is available only in Exchange Management Center.
but we want to implement this operation in SC center too. Please consider this function.

  19. Advanced Threat Protection Whitelist 2019

ATP needs a way to whitelist inbound email (IP or domain) from being quarantined as malware. Back in 2016 this issue was resolved by adding exchange mail flow rules to add headers. However, this method no longer works, and Microsoft support (ticket 12611412) confirms that ATP filters before mail rules are applied, and there is no way to whitelist inbound IP's to bypass ATP malware filtering. The only options in the settings is based on recipient. In my case, I want to whitelist to allow a Security Awareness Training provider to send test emails to our users. ATP is incorrectly…

  20. Please offer command to purge emails from "recover delete" using content search

Currently the "softdelete command when used like this: example
"New-ComplianceSearchAction -SearchName "Remove Phishing Message" -Purge -PurgeType SoftDelete"
Will send message to recover delete. I would like there to be there a Harddelete" to send them straight to purge so the user can not accidentally recover a phishing email and click on it.
    Please advise
