  1. Ability to edit eDiscovery case and hold names and description

It would be nice to have editable eDiscovery case names and description.

Also would be nice to have editable description fields for holds and searches.

    Thank You

  2. eDiscovery results for Microsoft Teams standard channels

There should be a way for business teams reviewing eDiscovery results to be able to distinguish between different Microsoft Teams standard channels and their conversations. Right now, you cannot identify which standard channel the conversation took place in. (This is true of both Core and Advanced eDiscovery)

  3. Litigation Hold or In Place hold and licensing

I and others seem to be very confused with the named used to protect data pre or post investigation. Litigation hold, legal hold, in place hold, journaling, archiving or shared mailbox and the licensing are all interchangeably used.
We're trying to come up with a process to protect mailboxes and onedrive in 365 through the admin portal and even Microsoft gives three different answers depending on who you call.
If the user leaves, i don't want to pay for a license for 2 years. I need a really good sequence i can give to my tier 1 people who can…

  4. Add one simple setting for the organization that enforces in-place hold for all communications

First, archiving compliance is too expensive. Google Apps has Google Vault at $10 a month, and MS has in-place hold and e-Discovery starting at Enterprise E3 at $20 a month. Federally mandated archiving requirements are not just in force for enterprises; small businesses have to comply as well. Second, it is too difficult to ensure compliance with confidence. As pointed out in this article (http://blogs.technet.com/b/educloud/archive/2013/10/09/archiving-ediscovery-and-preservation-in-office-365-education.aspx) 99.9% of people wanting preservation of emails need in-place hold, not in-place archiving. Office 365 is backwards regarding archiving compliance, which is a common requirement nowadays for many businesses at all times, not…

  5. Make Security and Compliance exports compatible with newest Microsoft Edge browser

The current content search export utility is not compatible with the newest Microsoft Edge browser built on Chromium. When attempting to download search results the notification states to use Internet Explorer or Edge yet the utility is not compatible with the Chromium version of MS Edge.

  6. New Content search UI Preview Results doesn't have Sorting option

I have been using content search for long time, and now i can see there is new UI. I found the new UI good, but there is an issue with the preview results. There is no option to sort the results as per the date. The preview results some random emails/Data which is certainly not helpful. Kindly provide an option to sort out Preview Results.

  7. Add ability to download content search reports and exports using PowerShell

Currently, we can create new content searches using the Create-ComplianceSearch commandlet, start the search with Start-ComplianceSearch, and view the search status with Get-ComplianceSearch. We can start exports with New-ComplianceSearchAction, and view the status with Get-ComplianceSearchAction, but we still need a way to download exports using PowerShell instead of the Security & Compliance.

  8. Permission issues with custom permission groups in Compliance center/eDiscovery cases

Currently if you create a custom permission group to allow access to eDiscovery cases (Say you want to hand off searching for content in an eDiscovery case to another user) you can not create a custom permission group that grants access to the case. You have to first give the user permission to the Reviewer group before you can use the custom group. (this is how things currently work according to O365 Microsoft case SR-7343372).

So what I am asking for is the ability to create a custom permission group that actually works the way that it should work.

    I…

  9. Add the ability to use custom managed properties when creating a Content search

When creating a new content search in Security & Compliance you are not able to create a search using a custom managed property. It appears only certain built-in managed properties are allowed. You should allow this when doing a bulk edit. Many customers have their own business properties for searching for documents.

  10. Automatic retention of Outlook and OneDrive contents for terminated employees

My organization is required to keep email and documents for all employees according to state and federal retention laws. Attempting to keep the files and emails for terminated employees is extremely convoluted. Please implement a one-click option to archive the data of a user prior to disabling their account.

  11. Security and Compliance eDiscovery message read column not accurate

When we run a Ediscovery report on user that has had account compromised or Legal hold. Legal wants to know if certain messages have been read. Support is saying that the report is not reliable. Need the ability as admin to see if an email was read and when.
    (118030117735872)
Unfortunately, the ‘Is Read’ column in the Export file ‘Results.csv’ is not a fully reliable way to know if an email or document was read by an end user. There are several reasons for that:
    - Depending on the email client application, one can read, and then mark the message…

  12. The search preview limitation of 200 per source is very limiting. Provide mechanism to retrieve more.

The ability to only view the latest 200 items in a search is very limiting. There should be a mechanism to retrieve more than 200. Maybe a paging capability like "Retrieve The Next 200" button. The ability to have a randomized preview instead of the later items would also be useful.

  13. Exchange Admin access to delete emails including from Recoverable Items while mailbox on hold

We use in-place holds to ensure emails deleted in error (by mistake or intentionally) are recoverable. While this should prevent a user from permanently deleting an email, there should be a way for admins to completely delete emails including from Recoverable Items (particularly Purges, Versions and DiscoveryHolds) without affecting the remainder of the hold.

Perhaps something like Search-Mailbox -DeleteContent -RemoveFromRecoverableItems

This is particularly relevant to exercising a data subject's right to be forgotten under GDPR.

  14. Add the ability to create Bates numbering to export with the data

There is a need to number electronic evidence using the Bates numbering system so that when data is transferred to other councilors, there is a reference to electronic documents. Bates Numbering is a method of indexing legal documents for easy identification and retrieval.

  15. Have possibility to select or exclude certain folders from user mailbox when using In- Place Hold

We have a requirement from a customer that wants to exclude a folder and its content in the users mailbox from In-Place hold. Current possibility is only for the whole mailbox or certain keywords.

  16. Search in the Source Code of email using Content Search in the Security & Compliance Centre

There are many instances where we need to search for emails that contain specific traits within the source code. I.e: where phishing emails contain a link or common class names within the html of the email, this is not picked up in a ‘body:’ search.

  17. Additional search parameter "version="

We have the requirement to find out the conversation between people in a specific timeframe.
We don't want to have the mails anybody has edited or adjusted, just the original conversation.

Therefore an additional search perameter for mail called "Version=" would be extremly helpfull und find all original mails (version=0) no matter if they are in theinbox, in any folder, have been edited (folder versions) or even been deleted.

  18. apostrophe

When setting up a new case and selecting a specific mailbox to search, the search box that opens does not allow you to search by name for a person with an apostrophe in their name. For example, if I need to search for the custodian Jane O'Neil, I cannot search by her last name without getting an error.

  19. Select all users/mailboxes in Content Search for PST Export rather than individually selecting each user

Rather than selecting each user individually you should be able to select all mailboxes as this is a feature in the Exchange Admin Center under Compliance Management

  20. Content Search

The new "Beta" content search is not easy on the eyes nor does it allow editing of the the queries, you can only edit the description, it doesnt show all the options of the previous version, I feel like an End-User navigating the new layout as everything is limited and makes no sense.

It takes more time to load. The font/font size is cumbersome and takes up too much space, space which can be used for information that was otherwise provided in the previous version.

    Thank you.
