OneDrive sync client will enable B2BSync
I have read this update and I think it is not a good idea
A permanent synchronization with external users is an open door, a pipe in a Tennant and this is not good
Actually, if a user synchronizes their computer, the decision is business, empresarial, and the computer / device with which it is synchronized must be under the domain of the company and with that security.
But if OneDrive is synchronized with a user external to the organization, the door must be permanently open, traffic must be permanently available and the security is responsibility of Microsoft. The external user to the organization can comply with the security requirements of the company, but maybe not tomorrow. The computer is not inside the domain of the Tennant. Then on whom rests the good use / responsibility of the open door ?, on Microsoft. In a Tennant it is a safety deficiency, but if we multiply it by Tennants ... We have a problem
This does not happen when a file is shared. The traffic is on a thread. But if OneDrive is synchronized it is about a service. And what happens if there are files already shared with other users inside the company, or with other external users of other companies?
Actually in SharePoint an external user can not Sync without a Corporative Licence of OneDrive
Perhaps, I would be in favor to create a new kind of Sharepoint site with special sharing features for Sync with external users:
a) Sharepoint Teams
b) Sharepoint Communication
new c) Sharepoint B2B
And inside to have the best tools to Sync with external users

We need to get a solution to sync SharePoint Libraries uisng OneDrive when accessing a site using B2B acconts that have MFA enabled.
