Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) attachment scan delay too long
When the Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) safe attachment policy is set to dynamic delivery, the attachment scan can take around 30 minutes. It just says scan in progress. this is way too long and severely impedes the work flow in a fast pace environment where the scans are needed the most. They should be designed to scan instantly.
Dynamic delivery is a very convenient ATP configuration and therefore the way to go. The fact that it is so unpredictable regarding the scan and therefore the actual delivery time leads to a bad user experience. Security measures should not impair users' everyday working life, or their acceptance suffers. Therefore please implement at least a guaranteed delivery or scan time SLA. The current situation from anything between 10 seconds to 10 hours really doesn't do the trick.
Seeing same issue. luckily I have ATP in POC for a handful of account only at the moment.
I have scans taking 3 days to complete. Way round it is to forward the email to myself and it comes through straight away!
This is a workaround and not a fix
This is not a niceness feature by Microsoft. We pay for it. My users waiting over 6 hours for their document.
I have had ATP scans take over a day to complete, this leaves the administrators of the account apologizing to their userbase because of the heightened security in place.
As you can imagine the natural response of this is 'Do we really need it', and 'Can't we do without it', not an ideal sitution when trying to maintain organisational security.
ATP scans up to 5 hours for a pdf with 2 pages
ATP it take so much time to scan attachments and delivered, please designed, so that it should be scan instantly.
