Litigation Hold or In Place hold and licensing
I and others seem to be very confused with the named used to protect data pre or post investigation. Litigation hold, legal hold, in place hold, journaling, archiving or shared mailbox and the licensing are all interchangeably used.
We're trying to come up with a process to protect mailboxes and onedrive in 365 through the admin portal and even Microsoft gives three different answers depending on who you call.
If the user leaves, i don't want to pay for a license for 2 years. I need a really good sequence i can give to my tier 1 people who can properly offboard a user in 365 and not lose data for 2 year.
