Permission issues with custom permission groups in Compliance center/eDiscovery cases
Currently if you create a custom permission group to allow access to eDiscovery cases (Say you want to hand off searching for content in an eDiscovery case to another user) you can not create a custom permission group that grants access to the case. You have to first give the user permission to the Reviewer group before you can use the custom group. (this is how things currently work according to O365 Microsoft case SR-7343372).
So what I am asking for is the ability to create a custom permission group that actually works the way that it should work.
I created a group called Compliance Search/Review with the permissions Review, Preview and Compliance Search. Once people are added to this group I can not give them permission to the eDiscovery case until I also give them access to the "Reviewer", "eDiscovery Manager" or "Compliance Administrator" group first (all these groups say they have the "Review" role assigned just like my custom group)..
