folder level default labels should be available
The ability to apply a default label at the document library level is great, It would be extremely powerful if you were also able to apply a default retention label at the folder level as well. This would provide more granularity than is currently possible
Labels are great but if you want a change it seems impossible to make any updates.
It would be nice if a label is removed that you can still delete a folder.

The labelling concept is an excellent mechanism for building an effective records management model. It would be great however if Microsoft could take this down a step to enable default retention labels to be applied at folder level as well.
If this feature does become available, please provide a way via the API for us to be able to set the default Compliance Label on the folder programatically

It would be great, if you could set a default retention label on Office 365 Groups as well. For example...
Create a Office 365 Group, and label it with a 5 year retention label. Now, all files, conversations, etc should retain for those 5 years automatically.
I agree. We're looking into how we can create a records management solution, and moving files around in Teams (which uses folders for channels) and having a default label at the folder level would go a long way in making this work
