Allow content search to be able to query emails sent to any external recipients
At the moment you only have the option to do a content search query for:
Recipients/To: contains any of, doesn't contain any of, equals any of, & doesn't equal any of
if your domain is @abc.com and you select to query recipients/to - doesn't contain any of/doesn't equal any of "@abc.com" it will find all emails sent to external users BUT will exclude all email sent to external users with a cc/bcc @abc.com
This would be quite helpful.
Yeah, eDiscovery search sucks. There is much needed improvement to get more granular in searching and using wild cards like for *@domain.com. You can do this in message tracking, why the heck can't we use a wild card in Search Content and eDiscovery? MS get with the program!
As a workaround you could export the results to CSV and then filter on external recipients. Then you could find the email you were interested in.
This is desperately required. The only way to guarantee to see all emails that someone has sent externally, is to search for every email, which may return thousands of internal emails and just a few external. This is a massive issue.
Yes this is a bit limitation, it is not possible to search for all emails that user has sent externally, you would have to search for every email that they have sent, including internal, which makes searching extremely tedious if not impossible.
