Increase Message Trace Limits
Increase Message Trace limits from 5000 and 3000 (for detailed traces). Either increase the limits by default or allow a certain number of traces that include larger numbers of messages.
Certain organizations rely heavily on running message traces for all of their messages.
It is a requirement for our client to be able to trace all of their messages with detailed information and it's a clumsy solution to have to create a trace for every day out of the past 90 days (which they must do because they send and receive more than 3000 messages within a couple of days).
If a message trace is truncated to 3000 messages then it is useless to them because they must be able to prove that certain rules were applied to certain messages. If messages are missing then that's impossible to verify.
Ideally they want to be able to run a report over 90 days and include every message. This shouldn't be a difficult report to run without these builtin limits.
I'm having the same issue as TerryR, please increase the 90 days limitation.
90 days is not enough time in the past to do a message trace. In our case, one of our staff who managed retail accounts had a forwarding rule put into the email rules and it was not detected until the messages started bouncing due to the forwarding mailbox no longer working. Our user did not report these bounces to anyone for 4 months. With a 90 day message trace history in place there is no way of finding out who's emails had been forwarded outside of our domain to a third party thus no way to warn those people. Please increase the 90 day limit.

90 days is too short, please expand it.

Increase message to creation of account
Please extend message trace beyond the current limit of 90 days. It would be better to extend this time to 2 years. 90 days is too short a time for any trace which may be required to deal with a legal action claim.
Please extend tracing period from 90 days which is way too short. 5 years or more would be great.
Please increase the tracing period. We cannot detect how it was started the email sent to unknown email address. At least a year or two.
Please increase the tracing period - can’t this be obtained through an API / an automated process will capture on a daily basis and store in our data warehouse - we then keep the control of how many years we keep

Please increase the tracing period to at least 5 years. I am in a situation where I need to prove delivery of an email sent in November. I was surprised to learn that the tracing period was so short. I am fairly certain that the information still exists at Microsoft and that extending the trace period would be a simple task.

Please extend the tracing period from 90 days to at least 5 years? If that is possible
Please extend the tracing period from 90 days to at least 5 years? If that is possible? Maybe give the organizations the option to choose how long they would like to go back in history to trace a message?
Me gustaria que se pueda implementar una opcion para hacer el seguimiento a las de 10000 mensajes

Agreed - this is far too narrow a limitation for an enterprise-grade product. Our organization sends and receives well over 5000 messages per day with normal use.
Much worse is when an account is compromised and used to relay spam email - then a single user may send out more than 5000 in a span of a few hours, and we'd need to be able to appropriately remediate these sort of attacks by understanding who the emails were sent to.

The small page size and result size for get-messagetrace makes it extremely difficult to use, especially given that it lacks subject filtering to refine the results.
