Link Out of Office auto reply to Outlook calendar appointments which are out of office
Would be useful if, when an Outlook calendar item is given the 'Out of Office' category, Outlook would automatically send an Out of Office message, perhaps with dynamic details such as when you will be back in the office.

To be honest I was amazed that when I set a calender event to Out of Office it didn't automatically invoke the Out of Office reply - it seems to obvious, it even has the same name.

I've wanted this feature for so long. I would give all of my feedback votes to this if I could.
I have the same issues/work pattern as the other people who've commented in this thread.
That's exactly what I'm looking for. Always when I'm out of office for a day, i forget to put autoresponder and the clients get annoyed by slow response times.
With Autoresponder reacting to Calendar Events it would make it a REAL AUTO-responder :)

Absolutely yes, I completely agree (and came here to post the same thing).
I would love to have the ability to enable OoO messages to a calendar event - that way if I'm scheduling days I am away from the office in the future months, I don't have to then remember to come back and modify and enable to single auto response message the day before.
Dynamic details is a good suggestion too.
