Remove Groups Folder from
I don't want to see Groups or Fav Groups Calendar in my Outlook 2016 Folder View. I need it clean and simple. Don't clutter it up with whatever you want to. Add an option to hide ANY element in that tree.

The “Groups” folder option has been moved to the bottom of the left hand navigation. Only groups which have been favorited will show at the top. We hope this provides more flexibility and less clutter in your UI. Thanks!

I absolutely loath outlook and hate it with a passion because of so many little dumb asinine decisions that were made that have no ability for the user to alter. This is one of them. I need to be able to see two inboxes at once, but because of Groups, which I have never used or will use, can't be removed, with the folders I do need to be visible, it pops my second inbox down to where I have to scroll up and down vs. seeing both. Just give the option to remove or hide, is it really that hard to do, and would make users much happier. The forum is called Uservoice, but apparently it's not true to the name if it's been brought up this many times and nothing has been done. Here's to hoping though.

Create options to customize the folder pane (including folders) for exactly how you want it to be displayed. It's like a file drawer. Each person has their own way to organize their files. I, for one, am a minimalist, and like to have only what is necessary. I do not need the RSS feed, Group, Search Folders, etc.

Still an issue, waste of folders that are not removable or to be hidden. doesn't make sense why these were programmed this way.

Just upgraded to 2016 and spent 1/2 hour trying to get rid of "Groups", then found this thread. Unconscionable that Microsoft hasn't added a fix to hide or move it considering the first post (Jan 2017) was almost THREE YEARS ago !

Please give users the option to move Groups to the bottom of the folder pane or to remove it.

Are you trying to become Apple? Stop forcing people to use specific GUI's/Options/Configurations.

Agreed. Such a waste of space.

Yes, please give us the option to "hide" the features we will never use; they take up valuable real estate!! I love that they are available for those who use them but I have no need for things like RSS Feeds, Journal, Notes, or Tasks but at least they are all one-liners. The Groups and Favorite Group Calendars take up 2-3 times as much space that I really need!!
PLEASE make it an option to hide these, or maybe provide a separate tab for "non-mail" functions.

No comments by Microsoft. I guess they have our money, and don't care what we think.
Good thing they know everyone uses Office, and isn't going anywhere.

AGREE - Let us remove Groups and Additional Calendars - OR - at least let us move them down to the bottom of the nav pane

Yes, please! Let us have an option for hiding the Groups folder! We're a small organization with 4 employees, why should we have a Group folder taking up important folder space?

I also would like to hide it. And a bunch of the other **** I don't use -- Clutter, Journal, ARchive, Conversation History, Synch, Search -- I want to hide them all.

MICROSOFT: IT'S ONLY ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS who hate the cluttered "extra features" (Groups, Group Calendars) in our Outlook-2016 folder pane.
Are you deaf? FIX THIS. It's been broken for over a year.

Give a choice, please, to get rid of the vastly annoying "Groups" folder!!!!!!!

There is an enormous menu of commands and options, but I would trade many of them for one that would hide this unwanted screen spacehog.

"Groups" is not used by more than 95% of users.
Let us hide it, NannySoft.

I second these comments: why force us to 'customize' our email the way YOU dictate??? Create options, not mandated outcomes. Empower the user. I don't want more real estate being occupied by worthless (to me) folders and elements. I want to focus on MY choice of files and folders, and have there remaining real estate clutter free.
