sort the groups
I think it would be necessary to sort the groups in alphabetical order or in an order defined by the user. We should also see to consolidate groups or groups by section as it can be done with users that we are in a group.

Do we need 10000 votes or more to get action on this?
Is odd this basic feature was never considered by the programmers! -

I thought I could work around this by asking users to favorite the groups, but even when groups are favorited, they still don't show at the top of the list. Users MUST be able to sort the groups somehow. One of my clients has near on 100 groups, and they are unable to sort them in any way.

Has this feature been implemented yet? We need to be able to put the groups in some kind of order - ascending, descending, anything... they are all over the place. it's crazy!

Still needed!! Being able to sort groups in alphabetical order or by unread would drastically increase efficiency and reduce missed items. Pretty crazy this function is still unavailable.

we need this desperately! all groups are alphabetical / in numerical order and we are planning to have a lot of groups. people will scroll on the groups. (i know we can search on numbers as well, but currently this should be very helpful) thanks a lot, kind regards edgar

I agree. Groups are sorted alphabetically in the Admin center and the view should be similar in Outlook.

I've already wasted so much of my valuable time trying to find the right group directly from the Outlook screen. Unbelievable that MSFT is not fixing this issue. Stupid to implement this behavior in the first place (some obscure ordering) and not fixing this to allow ordering on alphabet. Maybe even introduce a filter option. It is all possible and easy to do.

Sorting in alphabetical order by the title of the group is critical. It would be amazing if Office 365 could make this update.

Yes, most definitely! Group Member lists need to be in alphabetical order. When you have a large number of members and need to find a particular one, the names need to be in alphabetical order. Either permanently sorted or an option to sort, like clicking a column header.
