"Drag and Drop" Email Messages into Group Inbox within Outlook
Also provide "drag and drop" functionality within Outlook. Sometimes a conversion will take place outside of the Group, but that conversation may be important to the Group. Have the function to "drag and drop" an email into the Group Inbox would be a great tool.
(This is already available if the Group Shared Mailbox is added to Outlook, but a few design changes will make this feature for user-friendly and available in the desktop client.)

Good news…drag and drop conversations into groups is available in Outlook Web and has shipped to Outlook Win32 desktop users on Current Channel as of 5/13/2020. More information can be found in the Tech Community discussion located here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365-groups/new-drag-and-drop-conversations-into-groups/m-p/124722/page/6

Yes, this is crucial to bring "outside" emails to the group.

Maybe this comment should be posted in another topic, but When working with Planner and the associated Groups I often need to communicate with one or two members of the group. I need the ability to send a message to a few members and want those email chains kept in the Group Conversation area. - sending a message to the entire group is irritating to most of them and wastes their time.
Without this feature I end up sending separate emails that really should be stored in the conversation area - but I cannot get them there.

Along this line I would like to be able to drop attached files from emails to the files section without having to save it in OneDrive then add it to the files section in the Plan/Group.

Agree, looking forward to an official comment and time frame for this. This is a major issue that has to be resolved.

This will be huge!!! It should allow any email from/to anyone to be dragged and dropped, not just emails from within the team. This will replace the 2nd class experience of forwarding the email to the team where you lose the value of the email metadata. Hopefully this functionality will be tightly aligned with the experience in Teams, i.e. that you will be able to view the emails properly in the Teams desktop and email client apps. Keep up the great work!

I cannot believe this is not available yet! The new Office 365 groups doesn't allow to import old email as conversation...

We are hoping for this as well! Any official comment?
Drag-and-drop together with categorizing/tagging is needed. -

Yes,
This is a sticking point for a lot of my clients, The problem is the time stamp, they really need to be able to keep it intact when copying the email. The sooner this is in place the better, I cant believe its missing in the first place!! -

We offer an Outlook addin that uses a shortcut menu to move and copy items from Outlook to groups.
You can get more information from our website (http://decarlosoftwareinc.azurewebsites.net/AppButtons/) or see a short video in YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InPtpsQjn_E) about these features.
