Import/Export 365 Group Calendars calendars from file (eg csv)
Like you can with an Exchange account.
I need to be able to import an .ics file to a group calendar. It's so easy to import to all of the normal calendars. Why can't I import an .ics file to a group calendar?
I do see that the outlook IOS App now supports office 365 Group calendars, but without the ability to copy events from shared or personal calendars, It's still impossible to transition completely to office 365 groups. Teams, Sharepoint, and Planner are solid. Group emails (Conversations) need to have subfolders and calendar needs to be able to import/export. Unfortunately, I don't see this on the Microsoft Roadmap.
How do you expect people to migrate to your platform if there is no way to import existing group calendars? This is just basic stuff. If you had just started with a Shared Mailbox and built Teams/Office 365 Groups on top of that, you'd be in good shape. Now we're forces to use 3 separate half-baked solutions.
I have to use public folders for Company/Team Calendars and Contacts ONLY because I cant import the thousands of existing items but Public Folders do not integrate with mobile apps or web apps easily.
I'm using teams basically just for the teams app.
Please make such OS365 Group improvements a priority! Microsoft is setting a great direction with OS365 Group integration with Teams. I'm trying to set direction for my organization to depend on it for scheduling, communication, and collaboration.
What is this joke? O365 has way too many basic function missing. This is just as stupid as OneNote does not have proper working Tag function.
Please fix this.
I contacted Microsoft Support, there is still no solution.
I can't believe this is not possible ?!!
Does any solution actually exist to import a calendar ? How many contexts would need this ? (migrating to O365, creating a group from an old one, etc...)
When i migrated to O365, i didn't thought that basic features like this would be missing.
no solution in the future?
I know at least 2 large organizations that would benefit from this. Can't believe this isn't possible.
Would be great if we could import to O365 Group Calendars
Really do need the ability to import events from one calendar to another. None of the suggested work-arounds are working for me.
for the love of all that's holy.. This.. This right here needs to be upvoted.

Hello, I just worked with Microsoft Support on this issue and here's what I found in the process. Can definitely view in list view and copy all calendar events from a calendar to the Group calendar. If you copy all at once and there are events that are a series they will not upload to the Group calendar. Selecting all events that are not a series and copy, good to go. So just copy the select occurrence once to the Group calendar and then get someone to edit them and make them reoccur again. Hope that helps for now...
The process of saving off the contents of the source calendar to an ICS file and then attempting to import it into the target Office 365 Group calendar is not possible. The only target of the import of the ICS file is the "current user's" Calendar. There is no option to select another one (e.g. the Office 365 Group calendar)
This is a big issue for our organization. We have quite a few shared calendars which need to be migrated to their new Office 365 Groups.
This process STILL does not work in the full Outlook Client:
1.) Switch to the "List View" of the source calendar (Shared Mailbox)
2.) Select all entries & copy them
3.) Switch to the "List View" of the target calendar (Office 365 Group)
4.) Paste the entries
I put it over 300 votes but it will not come in time to help me. Appalled that this was not easier.
Linked to request, to be able to export group shared cals to csv and ical also for group cals to have their own category tags independent of individuals category tags. To use category tags in a shared cal they need to have shared meaning.

I really think that the overall handling of calendars in O365 could be more "unified", sharing/permissions, importing/exporting, copying/moving of events, etc.
Why is there such a barrier between personal and group calendars?
Stunned that I have to vote for basic necessities, no idea I can't migrate our shared google calendar
