Time Zone settings for Office 365 groups
Users and administrators should be able to change the TimeZone settings in Groups.
if a new file is added it is always in PST Time Zone which makes no sense at all.
You can work around this by appending this to the group URL: /_layouts/15/regionalsetng.aspx?noredirect=true
And if you browse to the site you have to request access as access is denied even though you are the owner and creator of the group.
This also doesn't make any sense.
If you're in the first release you can see the "Site Settings" when clicking the Gear Icon but you are always redirected to the Group again.
Atleast append this to the links: ?noredirect=true
Also, time zone settings should be in the Group Creation wizard so users can choose it while creating the group.
We’re considering how this could be implemented across the group identity.

Having to manually adjust every Group that is created to the correct time zone / region is a real pain. i like the idea of choosing when the group is created. but please have an adjustable default. we don't all live/work in America!!

I think You should be able to configure Regional Settings/Time Zone Settings in Office 365 Admin Center and, in addition, when it comes to global organisations, you should be able to override this in the Group Creation Wizard (and when You create a Team) so that "local" groups and teams in other countries can have their correct regional/time zone settings.
I recommend that You put this on the Roadmap so that we can inform our customers of when this problem is beeing solved.
It is still not in Roadmap, yet the group inactive option is there in development. I think what's more pressing is groups that works, not the ones that have been abandoned.
Is there any indication on when this bug is going to be fixed? Has there been any developments on this issue?
please implement a way to set a template/default settings for Time Zone / Work hours etc, to ensure that every new Group has the correct default settings for customer needs.

Come on Microsoft, Groups have been out for ages now... This is absolutely pathetic and lazy. Not everyone lives and works in the US. This is supposed to be a "Global" product, for a bunch of smart people, you don't really have much common sense...

Very disappointed about this... US is really not the center of the universe... :)

Also along with setting the timezone you need to be able to set the regional settings, so that excel documents know what date format to use, and when looking at dates they are based on the users regional settings.
Please resolve this problem ASAP. This is basic functionality that is used everywhere. Our users want to use their local numbers, dates, and time formats and we need to cpecify the local time zone, not Pacific Time
group URL: /_layouts/15/regionalsetng.aspx?noredirect=true does not let you save changes MS support have confirmed this is "by design".
This forcing of US date formats on non US companies makes the product unusable for holding work related documents that contain dates. For example an appointment in a spreadsheet for 01/12/2016 (1st of December 2016) will show as 12/01/2016 (12th January 2016) with potentially disastrous results.
