  1. Skype for business has a limittion of 10 Groups to add Office 365 mail group

This limitation will heavily impact the feasiblity for large company to deploy organization level predefined groups as Skype for business contact groups , because per function team, per location it can easly exceed the 10 Groups for a global company. the contact limitation shall be on total invidual contacts number, while the limit on Groups shall be a lot more than just 10.

  2. Show Groups in Outlook 2016 without caching

A few months ago we had the ability of using groups in Outlook 2016. We were in the middle of a migration and ready for the usage of groups. Apparently, the groups disappeared from Outlook 2016 and can only be turned on when using caching. Using cached-mode is not a option for us as a school. We are also using VDI/VmView-environment and having cached-mode on would certainly bring a lot of problems to the table. I've spoken with a MS technician and the answer was this is by design behavior. We would like to have the option at least to…

  5. Items Threshold Bug: Unable to Quick-Edit document library items even after applying views which limits items under 5000 threshold limit....

    Issue description:
5000 Items Threshold Exceeded Bug: Unable to Quick-Edit items in a document library even after switching to various views which limits items under 5000 threshold limit....

1- We had more than 9000 items in the document library to which I had added folders and created indexed columns using which I had created different views which resolved the view threshold limit issue.

2- However when tried to do a quick edit on the items in a view that I had created to restrict items under 5000 threshold, I am still getting the view threshold limit error message.

    3- When…

  6. Office 365 Group Calendar Entries

Have the ability to edit the Office 365 Group Calendar instance or series directly from my Outlook Calendar. Currently, if I edit the instance or series of an Office 365 Group Calendar entry - these changes are only reflected in my copy of the meeting and not update for all other participants

  7. Office 365 Group Unsubscribe Option!

We have the ability to not allow an Office 365 group to allow others to subscribe. Please add the ability for users to also not be able to unsubscribe!? This defeats the purpose of being an IT admin as users can just do what they want. If this is not possible, allow an Office 365 group to be converted to a regular distribution group. PLEASE WORK ON THIS!

  8. Set the PrimarySmtpAddress of a Group without Global Administrator permissions

It is not possible to set the PrimarySmtpAddress of an Office 365 Group without granting the service account global administrator permissions. I've already explored this option with Microsoft Support and we both came to the conclusion that the least privileged approach currently requires global administrator. Commands explored:

    Set-UnifiedGroup -Identity guid -PrimarySmtpAddress "email@domain.com"

The ProxyAddresses property is read-only in the Graph API for Groups:
    https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/docs/api-reference/beta/resources/group

No options to update the PrimarySmtpAddress:
    https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/docs/api-reference/beta/api/group_update

We are running Azure automation scripts and Azure web jobs to scan our Office 365 tenant for specific object states. We would like to limit the number…

  9. Allow attachments in Teams Planner Tab

Please allow attachments in Teams 'Planner Tab'.
Currently, it's only possible to use the 'link' button in a Teams Planner Tab.
In the web version of planner, you can attach a file directly to a task from the associated Sharepoint library using the attach button, so the functionality already exists, but this button is not present in the Teams planner tab.

  10. When opening a file or folder that is "Shared with Us", open in a new tab

Now that we can share a file or folder with an Office 365 Group, it appears in the Shared with Us view of Groups Files. When we open the file or folder, we are taken away from the context of the Group to the file/folder location. The only way to return is to use the browsers Back button.
    I demonstrate in this video - https://youtu.be/oQX9z4I__aM?t=9m55s
Please open files and folders in the Shared with Us view, in a new browser tab or window, so we can easily return to the Group.

  11. Teams Allow to take over mouse and keypoard of an external attendee like its possible in Skype

If an external attendee shares his screen in a Teams session it should be possible, that the external attendee gives remote control to internal attendees on request. The external user just uses the Teams App without any Office 365 login. This functionality is available in Skype for Business and when Teams will replace Skype it should have the same functionality!

  12. Provide a way to convert security groups to mail-enabled security groups.

The ability to convert security groups to mail-enabled security groups is currently available if you run Exchange locally. This function should also be available in O365.

  13. Enable creation of subfolders in Office 365 Groups

Public folders are very slow, Office 365 Groups are fast. When migrating public folders to Office 365 Groups we need the ability to create subfolders in Outlook to structure the mail data.

  14. Possibility to upgrade a security group to an office 365 group

If you want to upgrade security groups to office 365 groups there is no option to do it except to delete the security group, wait for the e-mail adress to be approved and create a new office 365 group.
The waiting period is very long and if you have permissions coupled with the security group all users can't use their permissions.

  15. Full fledged Group Calendars

Ability to share the group calendar by a link outside and inside the domain, and have it look the same across both OWA and Outlook.

Enable permissions for more fine grain permissions to calendar files and convo. Allowing a more fine grain control over who can view the calendar. A public calendar allows all users in your domain to add events to that calendar. This is a little awkward when students, teachers, custodians, and administrators are within the same domain. Then when using a private group, the calendar can't be shared outside the group members.

    The group calendars cannot be…

  16. Ability to create Dynamic Distribution group based on user's domain.

Currently, dynamic distribution groups in O365 can be created with a certain set of rules: "Membership in this group will be determined by the rules you set up below." One of the options should be user's domain (i.e.: contoso.com).

This would greatly help those O365 tenants who harbor several domain names and have multiple users per domain AND when users want to send out an email to the rest of those who belong to their specific domain.

    Hope that makes sense.

    Thanks!

Thanks for posting. The updated Office 365 Admin portal (in preview) includes a Groups center for managing group properties – name, description, membership, privacy type, lifecycle, etc. Reports on usage will also be released in the Office 365 reports center this summer. What isn’t addressed in the preview portal?

  18. Make a group alias available for receiving external email

We use office 365 groups for our developers. So they can join a project group. For testing purposes we use an alias next to the primairy SMTP. The product we develop is a external platfrom which sends emails. For this meaning we us these aliases. Internal email to the aliasses works fine only mail sends from external domains wont be deliverd in the office group.

  19. Dynamic Distribution List support for Manager field/property

Dynamic Distribution Lists should support using the Manager field/property. This would allow Managers to quickly communicate with Direct Reports in their organizational chart hierarchy without having to maintain a distribution list, or duplicating the Manager data as a CustomAttribute.
    (duplicated from https://office365.uservoice.com/forums/264636-general/suggestions/33082153-dynamic-distribution-list-support-for-manager-fiel)

  20. Add a Group Address Book to Office 365 Groups

We need Adressbooks with Contact lists for Office 365 Groups. A shared mailbox has an address book but an Office 365 group does not. The best thing would be if an Office 365 group has all the features like a person (OneNote, OneDrive, Mailbox, Calendar, Adressbook, Planer, Tasks, Chat like Microsoft Teams, Team Website, Sharepoint). Most of them are done, but now we need Adressbook for Groups.
