Consolidated Admin Interface To Control Office 365 Connectors/Apps Across Office 365
Within Yammer, Outlook and MS Teams we have a similar concept of connectors/apps. Each of these has different ways of controlling what connectors/apps are available to users. We would like to see a consolidated Admin interface to control which connectors/apps are enabled or disabled as well as whether or not each of these connectors/apps allows actionable activities ie. allow the Twitter connector/app but disable the like and comment buttons via the consolidated Admin interface.
This should be posted in the Office 365 Admin user voice. We are investigating how to move it. Here is a link: https://office365.uservoice.com/forums/273493-office-365-admin

I agree. Our users are heavily asking for enabling Connectors in Teams, where they are already steerable on an per-app-level. However, as long as for the tenant the only option is on or off globally, we will never get this approved by our cybersecurity (and rightfully so). Why is this topic not being adressed by the Office 365 responsible at Microsoft?

Completely agree with this! this is needed!
This feature is really important if adoption of Connectors, using third party vendor connectors at Enterprise Level. Why is it not put on the roadmap from the PG. I do see that there is not many votes, as the feature is a bit abstract to regular end-users. But making the framework to govern connectors "enterprise-production-ready" to me is a big MUST. No movement since a year... why?
Also see this a very important Point, though it is not "on the stage" but in the "Backbone". We experienced that we cannot get Connectors going in MS Teams as if they are not configured "on" in Exchange (meaning every connector allowed which will not be our security policy) you cannot use them in MS Teams as well. Both Settings have to be aligned, product Groups have to speak about this. Because being granular in the choice of connectors you want to offer to users is only possible with a consistend behavior. It is not enough to be granular in MS Teams if then you have to be Maximum open in Exchange, this is - unhappy to say that - bad SW design if it is one at all. (missing talk between product Groups) - if there is anything misunderstood by us and our Consultants happy to get your Feedback on this.
