Create new group from template and/or existing group
To ensure consistent Groups across the organization, be able to create a new group from an existing group, keeping the structure (Navigation/sub-sites, Library folders, Notebook sections, Planner buckets..) without the content/documents

We’re considering what it would take to support this feature, but it’s not scheduled on the backlog as of yet.

This would dramatically increase the usefulness of groups especially. without it, very hard for lrge org to implement bc inefficient

We use groups for implementing our customers and there are links, folder structures, and documents that would be great to have as templates. It currently takes over an hour to create each group, and this time would be dramatically reduced if we could use a template!

Include the class notebook and other resource pages when the template is created. That way we can create a blank team and then replicated it with the common content before customising.

This would be super useful and is especially important to support the scalability of Office 365 in an organisaiton and ensuring standardisation across the org.

This would be much like teamsite templates in sharepoint.
Another similar feature request is logged under Planner. https://planner.uservoice.com/forums/330525-microsoft-planner-feedback-forum/suggestions/14747076-ability-to-duplicate-plan-templates
