Do not FORCE Office 365 groups when SysAdmins are trying to create distribution groups!
When trying to create a distribution group, you still INSIST on routing the admin the the Office 365 group creation. There are very specific reasons someone would chose Office 365 vs Standard distribution group. You force us to that stupid option even though we specifically chose Distribution Group. Remove this, and make the fields actually what they are supposed to be. If I chose Office 365 group, send me to office 365 group creation. If I chose Distribution group, send me to distribution group and not Office 365 group. If I chose Shared, send me to shared. For you to do this is in bad taste, and really horrible and I hope this is not the direction your company plans to move in. You will be giving your competitors help because they do what the Admin wants, not what you are trying to promote.

As a workaround you can create the distribution group from the O365 admin center.
It will specifically let you create as a distribution group and not a O365 group.

Amen!! It's almost as though Microsoft thinks they know what I want better than I do. This is so annoying.
Is this for real? I'm trying to create a DG, not an O365G, but it's forcing me to do latter regardless of which selection I choose from the drop-down. Do I need to go through PowerShell to create a DG now?
I can't believe that more people have not voted on this. Someone must not have been QCing another's work when approving this.
