Change email address of unified group without having to change it through Powershell
One of Microsoft technician said this was a bug and need to be fixed.
When creating a unified group and having a federated domain one is not possible to change the unified group email address. I have to go into Powershell and run this command: set-UnifiedGroup techniciangroup -EmailAddresses SMTP:email@example.com,SMTP:firstname.lastname@example.org to have it working. Please fix that.
Thank you for the feedback. we are working on providing you the ability to change a group’s smtp from the group contact card.

When I create groups with cyrylic names O365 creates email addresses like this and I have to rename them with powershell ???@
Hello, it's 2018 now, if someone could please prioritize this it would be greatly appreciated.
In our case, Microsoft support tells us that the primary email address of a unified group can only be changed by a Global Admin...yet there is no documentation offered to back it up. There is plenty of documentation that claims that unified groups can be managed with Exchange Admin and User Mgmt roles...it's not working for us...thus the un documented claim from support.
There doesn't seem to be a technical reason to not allow admin to edit Unified Group SMTP addresses through the UI.
