There is a way to do this with your Outlook client.
Open the calendar you want to migrate events from. Navigate to the "View" tab within your outlook client. Change the view to "List". You can now copy all events with a quick CTRL+A and CTRL+C.
Open the new Calendar you are moving the events to, change the view again to "List" and CTRL+V.
This worked for us migrating from a previous SharePoint Calendar to an Office Groups Calendar.
Not sure if others are trying to do something different, or if they recently updated this.. but I was able to export/import by using Outlook.
I opened the calendar to export in Outlook, went to Import/Export, exported to PST.
Then opened the O365 Group Calendar in Outlook (via the Folders view at bottom left), went to Import/Export, Import from PST, browse and select the calendar exported earlier, choose 'import items into the current folder' (meaning the group calendar that you have open within Outlook currently).

This is what prevents me from seeing all my private personal, work personal and work group events in a single calendar on my Android phone: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/office-365-calendar/frightening-permissions-required-when-adding-google-calendar-to/m-p/1902452

4 years later and this basic functionality is still yet to be implemented?? Absurd!!
Microsoft: MOVE ALL YOUR STUFF TO GROUPS!!! IT'S AWESOME!!!!
Client: Sure!!! I'd love to!! How do I move existing content??
Microsoft: YOU CAN'T!!! GO F YOURSELVES! HAVE A NICE DAY!

This feature is crucial. How come you can have a calendar, but there is no way to import anything to it? Who designed this?
Just be able to export a Group calendar - to ICS, CSV, or whatever, and then be able to import with the same format to another Group. Need this!

@Microsoft, all we need is a way to import an ICS into the Microsoft 365 group calendar natively. It just means we can migrate our calendars from external sources into Office 365

Importing/Exporting from file should be a part of Gorup Calendars' basic functionality. The fact that it isn't is a MAJOR oversight on Microsoft's part.
I need to be able to export group calendar events to my phone's native calendar app, so it will sync with my watch. A simple ICS would do it, but short of copying each individual event into my personal calendar prior to export, this feature is completely missing.
Trying to migrate from shared Google calendars for each team.
O365 Groups was touted as the recommended way of having shared team calendars.
Yet there's no apparent way to import them. Going to try via Flows.

This is horrible this can't be done

For anyone needing to import the ICS, I've found a way using Powershell and Microsoft Graph API to do it.
Please see this post https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/2270817-importing-ics-into-office-365-group-calendar for the script/instructions.
Hopefully this will help someone.

While it doesn't solve the underlying problem, MS flow may be of some use, if you can use another calendar as a staging point. import there, then use flow to copy. Far less than optimal though.
I too want to be able to import to group calendars.
What. The. ****.
2020 and still can't do this simple simple feature which we discover too late.... on site doing s migration.... This will slow us Massively!!
I need to be able to import an .ics file to a group calendar. It's so easy to import to all of the normal calendars. Why can't I import an .ics file to a group calendar?
I do see that the outlook IOS App now supports office 365 Group calendars, but without the ability to copy events from shared or personal calendars, It's still impossible to transition completely to office 365 groups. Teams, Sharepoint, and Planner are solid. Group emails (Conversations) need to have subfolders and calendar needs to be able to import/export. Unfortunately, I don't see this on the Microsoft Roadmap.
How do you expect people to migrate to your platform if there is no way to import existing group calendars? This is just basic stuff. If you had just started with a Shared Mailbox and built Teams/Office 365 Groups on top of that, you'd be in good shape. Now we're forces to use 3 separate half-baked solutions.
I have to use public folders for Company/Team Calendars and Contacts ONLY because I cant import the thousands of existing items but Public Folders do not integrate with mobile apps or web apps easily.
I'm using teams basically just for the teams app.
Please make such OS365 Group improvements a priority! Microsoft is setting a great direction with OS365 Group integration with Teams. I'm trying to set direction for my organization to depend on it for scheduling, communication, and collaboration.
What is this joke? O365 has way too many basic function missing. This is just as stupid as OneNote does not have proper working Tag function.
Please fix this.
