Full fledged Group Calendars
Ability to share the group calendar by a link outside and inside the domain, and have it look the same across both OWA and Outlook.
Enable permissions for more fine grain permissions to calendar files and convo. Allowing a more fine grain control over who can view the calendar. A public calendar allows all users in your domain to add events to that calendar. This is a little awkward when students, teachers, custodians, and administrators are within the same domain. Then when using a private group, the calendar can't be shared outside the group members.
The group calendars cannot be exported in anyway .... Since it does not work in outlook.
I would think that permissions would work like so:
Members - Can add or edit files, calendar or Conversations
Owners - Members that can change memberships and permissions
Guests - Permissions for anyone else

I also agree that we need the ability to share the calendar publicly, which also requires the ability to independently set permissions for the calendar vs the group.
Currently, the group calendar is private to the group regardless of whether or not the group itself is public. In other words, when a group is private, it makes sense to default the group calendar to private viewing only, but there are many cases where you want to make the group calendar public, so anyone can see the event details (read only), but only group members can create/edit/delete the events. I expect that either 1) the calendar in a public group is also public (just like SharePoint content for the public group), or I at least have the ability to share the calendar publicly (iCal URL).
Ideally, all Outlook calendars, including group calendars, are shareable via an iCal URL, but also there should be a way to make the group calendar public/private independently of the group's overall public/private setting.

One of the main reasons I cannot suggest Groups for my users group tasks is they have multiple calendars with multiple levels of access.
Multiple calendars in a single Group
Levels of Read/Write permissions
The ability to export a calendar to a ICS or an HTML calendar would be great as well.
I agree...the current calendar options are unworkable for many scenarios in our organization. Please add the ability to add events that are NOT meetings, but just an event. We tried to create a Vacation calendar for our office, but when someone adds their vacation, everyone else in the office is invited. By default, no one is subscribed to the calendar, but everyone is getting invited to go on vacation with everyone else. Please let us add a normal event to the calendar instead of forcing everything to be a meeting request.
