Office 365 Groups support in Outlook 2016 on the Mac
Office 365 Groups support in Outlook 2016 on the Mac OSX.
Introduce the same feature for Groups in Outlook for Mac as on Windwos.
We are currently rolling out Groups in Outlook for Mac, and it should reach you shortly.
Leave us more feedback and ideas as we expand Groups functionality across the various Outlook endpoints!

I spent the better part of the day trying to import contacts from my Android Phone into Office 365 for MAC Outlook. Tried with two different MS technicians. Android exports to a .vcf format that is not compatible with Outlook but is compatible with my MAC. Also tried exporting from my MAC in a .abbu format which is also not compatible with Outlook.
The solution that both technicians gave me was that I needed to do a web search and use a 3rd party to convert the .vcf to .pst. I was forced to upgrade to Office 265 when Apple upgraded their OS and it was expensive. Seems impossible that a company as big as MS wouldn't have an in-house solution.

I was just told by one of my users that an outside client can see if he is available from his O365 Outlook account. This is dangerous as we don't want outside people to know if we are available or not. How do you turn this off?
I lost one of my Groups in the left hand pane. The other 9 are listed; but one disappeared. I can see that one when I logon to the web, I can receive e-mail sent to that group I'm a member of, but shows up in just my inbox; I just can't see the folder. is there a limit to what's shown in Outlook?
I also don't see a More link in the desktop app to show all groups I'm a member of ike the Windows Outlook shows.
same here menu disappeared and I already tried the licence reset
I always had access to my groups in the left-hand panel, but one day it suddenly disappeared and I cannot access them from my Mac (unless I go to the Outlook website). Any ideas as to how I can get the groups to appear in the side panel again?

So, it’s 2019, almost 2 years after the rollout out Groups for Mac.
Before I potentially waste a day wrangling with it, can anyone please tell me if can they admin/interact with Group Calendars, Group Files on (latest) Mojave within Outlook 16.20 (181208) (on an Office 365 Subscription) and assign other users permission to view or edit same?
I won’t even ask about Outlook for iOS.
I was unable to find out how to open a group calendar from a Google search and since our group is private, it won't show in the address book.
In my case, the group was created in Teams and this does work with Outlook 2016 for Mac.
Office 365 Groups is not showing in Outlook 2016 for MacBook Pro v10.13.6

Can’t access group files in outlook app? The group app was far more functional and useful; I hate going to outlook to get access to my groups when on mobile.

2018 and it still does not work for volume licensing.
I am trying to send on behalf of a distribution list under Outlook 2016 for Mac and it is not working.

I am on ver 16.10, and still cannot see groups in the side bar.
The original request/suggestion ("Introduce the same feature for Groups in Outlook for Mac as on Windows.") is absolutely not done.
I've been able to *see* my Groups in OL2016 since last Fall. However, all I can really do is see and interact with the Group's Conversations.
If I go to the Calendar and click "Open Shared Calendar" (*and* if the Group is visible in the GAL; we have many that are hidden), then I can connect to the Calendar and even create events on it.
However, other functions are still missing from the Mac client, including:
- the ability to see/control subscription status
- the ability to view/manage members
- access to Files/SharePoint site
- access to the Notebook
- the ability to create a Group or browse available Groups
Until these functions are in the Mac client, we have a whole lot of Mac users here still feeling like 2nd class citizens. Please don't mark this as "Done" until it actually is.
OKAY, I spent hours trying to figure this out. My issue was I had a retail license previously for 2016 and even though I downloaded 365 apps and signed in, my retail license was still in tact. I downloaded the Office 2016 license removal tool, and the reactivated outlook. Synchronized and the Groups appeared! Hope this helps someone.
Am I missing something? This has been advertised as rolling out from April 2017. Its mid February 2018 and I still don't see groups appearing in the sidebar of Outlook for mac (2016 version). What gives?

BOOM! It’s STILL not done!!
Unless I’m missing something... Group Calendars, Files etc. do not appear within a Group Member’s Outlook on Mac OR Outlook on iOS.
Advertising that Office (365) is “cross-platform” is a joke.
Anyone out there got a work-around or another working reccommendation?
I am also still missing the Groups on my iMac, whereas I can see them on my MacBook Air.
I have 15.41 (171205) and can see the Groups of which I'm a member in the folder list. However, access to other Group functions (e.g.: Files, Notebook, Calendar, etc.) as well as controls available in Windows Outlook (subscribe/follow indication & toggle, view/manage members) are not there. Our University has been using Macs as long as Macs have existed (that is, since 1984), and we have long struggled with platform parity, so this deficiency in the Mac Outlook client has already led some folks to swear off O365 altogether. That's a bit extreme (esp since the full Groups functionality really only exists in the web interface), but academics (particularly faculty) are very demanding and finicky people.
Please, as soon as possible, at least make the Mac and Windows versions of Outlook have THE SAME functionality in regard to O365 Groups. It would almost be better to take some functions out of Windows to make them equivalently inconvenient.
Hey There. I have Version 16.9 (171129) and I don't see the groups in my client. Though two colleagues of mine have it already in 15.40?!
