Improve the renaming functionality of Office 365 groups.
When you rename an Office 365 group, only the display name changes. It is not possible to edit the email address or the name of the OneDrive associated to the group. This is confusing, especially for OneDrive.
It should be possible to change all names associated with the group when renaming.

Both the email address and the SharePoint site URL associated with a Microsoft 365 Group (formerly Office 365 Group) can now be changed.
For the email address, the primary email address can be retained and secondary email addresses can be added, or the primary email address can be released and replaced by a new primary email address.
For the SharePoint site URL, the site name and site URL associated with the Microsoft 365 Group can be changed via the SharePoint Admin Center.

Enable Group Calendars to show in Outlook 2016
Outlook 2016 allows access to Conversations, Calendar, Files and Notebook. However, it's not possible to view a Group Calendar in the Calendar pane, which means that you cannot display side-by-side calendar views with any other Outlook/SharePoint calendar. It'd be great if this feature could be added!

Good news!
At this point, all users on the Monthly Channel for Office 365 ProPlus should see all their groups in the left navigation pane in the calendar module.Users on Semi-Annual Channel and Semi-Annual Channel (Targeted) should see all their groups in the left navigation pane in the calendar module in builds /after/ 1808.
Whichever version you’re on, you can always go to the group from the mail module, and then press “Calendar” from the ribbon. As well, you can also right click on the group in the left nav in the mail module, and favorite it; this will also make the group appear in the left nav in the calendar module.

Group SharePoint site URLs
With the onboarding of Teams, there are some groups out there that have changed their Group Name. While as a Global Admin I know I can successfully change the display name and email address of said group via powershell, but there doesn't seem to be a way to change the SharePointSiteURL, SharePointDocumentsURL & SharePointNotebookURL of the group.
This means that the only way for a Group to have the URL of their choice is by recreating it with the new name, which wipes out all the content of their current group. We should have a way to change the SharePoint…

Set Office 365 groups private by default
We're in a school environment and teachers are creating Office 365 groups and some of them shared information about students in them.
Although we've instructed them to change the accesstype to private, there are still groups being made which remain public.

Enable Group calendars in Outlook for iOS
I really hope the Outlook Groups app is just a temporary solution. It's completely unusable and a terrible UI with regards to calendaring. No week or month view, no ability to see your personal calendar at the same time to check for availability or conflicts. We have many users who live on their iPhones throughout the day with little or no access to the desktop apps. Please add Group calendars directly to Outlook for iOS.

Selectivly invite attendees to Group calendar event
We need the ability to add events to a Group calendar where only selected people are invited and notified.
The current ability to create Group calendar appointments is a step forward but not good enough. As soon as someone is invited, it changes from an appointment to an event that then sends a notification to all group members – whether subscribed to the Group or not!
DESIRED FUNCTIONALITY
- Ability to deselect Group members from a Group calendar event

"Drag and Drop" Email Messages into Group Inbox within Outlook
Also provide "drag and drop" functionality within Outlook. Sometimes a conversion will take place outside of the Group, but that conversation may be important to the Group. Have the function to "drag and drop" an email into the Group Inbox would be a great tool.
(This is already available if the Group Shared Mailbox is added to Outlook, but a few design changes will make this feature for user-friendly and available in the desktop client.)

recover / restore deleted office 365 group
It is currently not possible to recover/restore a deleted office 365 group, if accidentally deleted. In that case all files will be lost! Please add the ''recover deleted office 365 group' option. Also being able to recover the files / group from the administrator 'site settings\recycle bin' option in sharepoint, would be very helpful.

Allow calendar appointments to be created without inviting all Group members
Right now, when you create a calendar appointment, the group itself is automatically invited, and so the calendar functions like a distribution list, inviting all the members of the Group.
We would like the calendar to have the ability to act more like a separate calendar, or a teamsite calendar. The overlay function would be powerful if we could use the calendar for ... say a leave/Out of office calendar and overlay it over our own calendar.

We shipped the ability to add an appointment that is only shown in the groups calendar. The minimum build to get this feature is 16.0.8429.1000, and the flight is now rolling out to Insiders fast, and will rollout to the other channels in the regular cadence over the next few months.

Microsoft Planner create multiple plans per group
To have an Office 365 group for our team is a great idea. However, the team I'm on has multiple projects ongoing, and having to create a new group for each plan and then to assign permissions for each plan and manage documents, conversations, etc all in separate plans is an excess.
Better to be able to label documents, conversations, emails with each plan and to allow multiple plans than to have to manage all the plans separately and create groups that will be needless after the project is complete.600 votesboom! it's done ·AdminMicrosoft 365 Groups Feedback (Product Owner, Microsoft Office 365) responded
Multiple plans can now be created per group. This can be done through the Planner client as well as through Microsoft Teams. When selecting “New Plan”, select, “Add to an existing Microsoft 365 Group”.

Turn Off Footer at the Bottom of Group Emails
When I use my group email address this message appears at the bottom:
"You're receiving this message because you're a subscribed member of the XXXXX group.
View group conversations | View Group Files | Unsubscribe"I want to be able to turn that off because I don't want other people who are cc'd, to want to attempt view or join the group. In late 2018, we turned off the group footer for regular group members.
Guests still recieve emails with the footer, as that’s the easiest way for them to get to various group resources.

Improve manageability of email alias of groups
Email alias does not support many characters that are common in email addresses (e.g. "dot"), and cannot be changed after initial configuration. Additionally, alias creates an email address using the tenancy's "default" domain--doesn't allow you to select a domain if a tenancy has multiple domains. Finally, can't be changed after creation. All three of these are painful!

365 Group Deletion Policy
Currently an Owner of a group can delete that group - I'm aware soft-deletion is coming, but ideally we want to be able to stop users from deleting groups entirely. An Azure policy to specify who can delete groups would put power back with the IT Dept. This will allow us to empower users, but without the risk of them deleting groups and the content getting past the retention period and being permanently lost.
474 votesboom! it's done ·AdminMicrosoft 365 Groups Feedback (Product Owner, Microsoft Office 365) responded
Microsoft 365 Groups now supports soft deletion, integrates with retention policies applied to Exchange and SharePoint, includes verbose messages that deleting assets like a site or plan will delete ALL resources, and also provides access to deleted groups via the Groups Hub in Outlook. Group owners have the option to restore their deleted groups without having to escalate to the IT Admin. We think this will help address the majority of the feedback in this User Voice request! Thank you!

Unsubscribe button that actually unsubscribes
Currently unsubscribing from a group does not actually stop emails from being sent to your personal inbox.
The behaviour should be: If a user unsubscribes from a group, they are unsubscribed. Yes, it seems obvious, however Microsoft acknowledged the intended behaviour for unsubscribing is to still send emails to the unsubscribed user's inbox.
For more context see the forum thread.
