Allow adding members during group creation
When you create a group and set the owners, that does not make the owners 'members' of the group, so the group doesn't show up in their Outlook, etc. until you go back into the group and additionally make them members. That behavior is fine I suppose, but it would be VERY helpful if we could also add group members during the group creation process. This would mitigate steps and the potential to forget about going back into the group to add members.

Merge the two Office 365 Groups
We have an increasing request about mage O365 group (most typicality Planner group in to other existing group that is more actively using for file share.
User start the group in mind that using some specific feature of O365 and later find out two or three slimier group exist and want to merge into.
I would like to have feature support ted at least by the tenant global administrator or better with group's own administrator, if the person has admin role in both group.
This will help tidy up the ever growing number of groups and better use by end…

allow add group to another group
Every time I create a new group I only have the option to click check boxes for individual users to add them to the group. I would like to be able to add groups as members. We have state, office, department groups. It would be nice to just add them as a member of a new group/team...
80 votesCan you please tell us if your other groups (state, office, department, etc) are Security Groups or are they other Office 365 Groups?
How would adding this group help your O365 Group experience? What type of information will be shared and how does it improve the flow of communication or management? Thanks!

Group Deletion policy
The current deletion policy process doesn't work. An email is sent to the OWNER(S) of a group every x days forcing them to click a link otherwise the group is deleted. If the group has no owners, then a central address is emailed instead.
However, its possible that the OWNER has left and their account is 'disabled' but still present (for retention purposes). In this situation, the email is sent to the disabled account which cannot respond, and so the group gets deleted because no email is sent to the central address.
Either detection of a disabled OWNER account is…

Convert Shared Mailbox to Office 365 Group
There should be an option to convert a shared mailbox to an office 365 group especially since the Office 365 Group is the newer better version of the Shared mailbox and there is no way to convert.

Create new group from template and/or existing group
To ensure consistent Groups across the organization, be able to create a new group from an existing group, keeping the structure (Navigation/sub-sites, Library folders, Notebook sections, Planner buckets..) without the content/documents
296 votesWe’re considering what it would take to support this feature, but it’s not scheduled on the backlog as of yet.

Shared Contacts
I was hoping that switching to O365 Groups would allow our small team to share contact information. Sadly it seems only Files and Calendars are an option.
I would very much like to have a "shared contacts" area within the group - these should be editable by the group owner(s) and be available for viewing on the Groups mobile app as well as from within Outlook.
206 votesThanks for the feedback! Can you provide more information on how you would use Group’ shared contacts and if this feature is something that you need in both consumer and enterprise identities. Please keep the feedback and votes coming! Thanks!

Provide guest members full access to group calendar
Add the ability for Guest members to access the group calendar along with files and conversations. At this time you can only send invites to these members but they can not create events themselves or see the calendar.
209 votesThanks for the feedback! Can you provide more information about how you prefer guest policies to work and if you think allowing guests the same level of permissions as any other member is desirable? Additionally, would you like to control policies for specific guests or just have blanket policy for all guests? Please keep the feedback and votes coming! Thanks!

We very much need O365 to support nested O365 groups.
It will reduce the no. of groups to be created in the org as well as will reduce the complexity of adding 100 of users manually to O365 groups.

Support for multiple group calendars
Current Office 365 Groups only support one group calendar. In many use cases this is not enough. Support for multiple group calendars within the same group should be supported
175 votesThanks for the feedback! Can you provide more information how additional group calendars will be used? do you see same group membership across all calendars? Please keep the feedback and votes coming! Thanks!

sort the groups
I think it would be necessary to sort the groups in alphabetical order or in an order defined by the user. We should also see to consolidate groups or groups by section as it can be done with users that we are in a group.

URL to show Group Calendar view
A distinct URL to display a group calendar view. Currently a URL will display the calendar alongside the users calendar but only if they are a member of the group, if the group is public the URL should display the calendar.
129 votesThank you for the feedback. Can you please provide more information how would you use this feature and if the group URL view should be read-only or editable depending on user permissions?

Planner task to appears in Outlook Desktop Client
It would be nice if the Tasks created in the planner using O365 groups would appear under the 'task' section of outlook.
978 votesHi All,
Thanks for this request. We are rolling out the links to planner boards for groups in Outlook desktop from the group card, so that should help get to the planner task list.
This request seems to be asking for the Outlook desktop tasks list to also show planner tasks. Can you help us understand the use cases and details on the actions you expect to perform with planner tasks in Outlook? Thanks.

Group-Level VIEW ONLY Permissions
While I'd like to see some more granular permissions in general, I would like to see at a minimum a VIEW ONLY option assigned to users in a Group / Plan.
Right now everyone is a contributor and everyone can do everything, but there are lots of situations where we want to give situational awareness to certain users, but not let them edit group documents, or potentially delete things (not out of malice, but just unawareness).
You already get at least the basic Viewer/Contributor model on most other services, like SharePoint team sites, Yammer groups, almost all of the project…

Bulk import - users / groups
Please add option to add more than one member at a time, be it by copy & paste (e-mail addresses) or by csv import, etc. Same to add existing AD (distribution) group.
121 votesThank you for the feedback. Can you please provide more information how would you prefer this import to work? will the standard flow of importing from CSV be the right solution for this scenario? Additionally, do you need this for all the applications groups support?

Allow users to edit their groups' photo while not allowing them to change their own photo
If the SetPhotoEnabled OWA Mailbox policy is set to False, users are also not able to Change the photo of Office 365 Groups they created, which is a flawed design choice. They are however able to Delete the group photo, which is a bug. Please make a seperate "SetPhotoEnabled"setting for users and group and fix this bug.
199 votesThanks for the feedback! Can you provide more information on how users will use this feature and how often do the group owners need to change the group image? Please keep the feedback and votes coming! Thanks!

Move attachments from OWA directly to the Groups Onedrive Folder
Move attachments from OWA directly to the Groups Onedrive File. Currently your only options are: view, save it in OneDrive or Download it.
114 votesThank you for the feedback. Can you share more about your scenario? Do you the ability to move files send to an individual email address to a group? What kind of business process flow would require this?
