  2. Email notifications of Message Centre messages

It is very frustrating to see messages that have been lying there for weeks - who has time or remembers to go into the admin panel every day? Email notifications to the tenant owner should be standard on this. We get notified by email for everything else, why not messages?

  3. Support conversion to shared mailbox for synced users

Currently a mailbox for a synced user can be converted to shared in EAC. This results in a corrupted mailbox object and an Azure AD object that still requires a license. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2710029. Customers need to move the mailbox to on-premises Exchange, convert it to shared and then move the mailbox back to Exchange Online. This process can be cumbersome and even worse, if customer is not aware of this issue the shared mailbox will be removed after the grace period expires.

It should be supported to convert a mailbox to shared for a synced user in Exchange Online,…

  4. Switch tenant in portal.office.com aka make portal accessible by B2B guests

Currently it is not possible to switch the AD tenant in portal.office.com like you can in portal.azure.com.
Without that is is not possible to Access the O365 Admin Panel as an B2B guest account that has Global Admin or EXO/SPO permissions.
Login always takes me to my home tenant with my mailbox.

It is also not possible to do this by PowerShell.

So please make it possible to use portal.office.com Admin Section as an B2B guest otherwise it makes no sense that I can for example assign Exchange Admin permissions to an B2B user.

  5. Deleting an item in a shared mailbox should move the item to the shared mailbox's deleted items

Today you have to use the regkey DelegateWastebasketStyle to control the behaviour when deleting items in a shard mailbox.

This should have a PowerShell command, just like for sent items (set-mailbox shared@contoso.com -MessageCopyForSentAsEnabled $True)

One of the companys i manage Office365 for has, no AD which means no GPO's to use with regkeys, no consistensy in Office versions and thus this gets unmanageble.

Please add a way for me to control this centrally in Exchange Online.

  6. Implement email address policy

On-premises Exchange had Email Address Policies which allowed administrators to define the email addresses (SMTP:alias@domain1.com,smtp:firstname@domain2.com) that would automatically be added to mailboxes.

Office 365 desperately needs this functionality so we don't have to resort to over complicated PowerShell scripts.

  7. mfa one-time-bypass

The one-time-bypass feature is only available for Azure MFA with server/sdk implementations.

We use Azure MFA in a cloud-only setup. We don't have any server/sdk running. We would like to use the one-time-bypass feature.

  8. Disable Automapping for Mailboxes from Admin Center

Proposal: Have the option through GUI to disable automapping for inboxes, and/or certain individuals that have permission to that inbox.

Explanation: When you assign permissions for someone to a particular inbox (including shared) it automatically adds the mailbox to their Outlook profile - this has caused us issues. While it can be disabled through PowerShell, it's very tedious to go through and remove each user and then add each user to every inbox with automapping disabled.

  9. Allow a "Guest User" to be converted to a different account type

Allow new "Guest User" entry to be converted to a different account type.

We have encountered the situation where a OneDrive share was granted to a user outside our tenant, which in turn then created this new "Guest User" entry in the system with the SMTP address. Later this user was requested to be added as a MailContact, but due to the fact the SMTP address existed already, it would not allow us to create. Deleting the user from Guest Users would remove all shared file access. Need a solution for this.

  10. Change default language in Sharepoint (OneDrive)

For an international company, it is important to define the company language (e.g. English) as the default language. Unfortunately, when initializing O365, the language is set according to the location (in our case "German"). This is devastating because all SharePoint pages (including OneDrive) are subsequently created in "German". This should at least be pointed out.
Unfortunately there is no possibility to change the default language afterwards. The workarounds with multi-language support are not satisfactory. Nevertheless, German continues to dominate in many areas

Please point out the importance of the language during the initial setup and give the possibility to select…

  11. Allow timezone change for message trace

Currently message trace timezone is set to UTC 0. This is really annoying. We should be able to change the timezone for this. There are posts on the forums going back to 2012 requesting this feature... please implement it.

  12. Configure Preferences for Report Message Add-In

The Report Message Add-In can be deployed centrally but there should be a method to control the settings/preferences in it centrally. For example, set the default option for reporting preference (e.g. always send, never send, ask every time). This should be configurable somewhere (e.g. registry key, GPO, Centralized Deployment manager, Exchange Online policy, etc. The default to ask every time is not the setting we want for our organization, but there is no way currently to reconfigure the default. Please reconsider this.

  13. Create new Remote Shared Mailboxes from hybrid

Allow the creation of new remote mailboxes that are 'shared' mailboxes. At present, you have to create a regular user mailbox and then after you have synchronized this to Office 365, you then have to login to the 365 admin portal and convert it to shared. The problem with this method is that the user object on premises will always be shown as an office 365 mailbox and not an office 365 shared mailbox. Just a bit messy.

  14. Remove case sensitive searches for shared mailboxes and permissions

Over the last month or so case sensitive searches have been added into the shared mailbox and permissions sections on the Office 365 admin page. Could these be reverted back or was there a reason for case sensitive searches being added?

I had weeks of no results coming back until I spoke to Microsoft Support who also have the issue and they noticed it is now case sensitive.

  16. Resolve SMTP mail duplicate problem when sending to multiple addresses from GSuite

GSuite accounts that are configured to send through Office 365 accounts via SMTP started sending multiple copies of the same email any time more than one domain name is sent to in a single email. For example you might send a sales update to 40 email addresses across multiple domains and each recipient will receive the same email 40 times. For further information on the issue please read this thread: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/oemail-osend/multiple-copies-of-emails-sent-to-recipients-via/84cf9460-b7f4-4e6a-bf97-a115a825f369?tm=1538072613792

The only work around's are to BCC the group and put yourself in the To: field (no one gets duplicates but you) or you can take the time to…

  17. Backup the exchange mailboxes! There is no exchange backup in office365.

When a number of "user created" exchange folders were hard deleted by mistake, we opened a premier case - 116120615030507. To make a long story short, we found out that there is no exchange backup of the exchange mailboxes in this case. If items are accidentally hard deleted by the customer, there is no recovery of the mailbox. This is a worse situation than we had on premise, where we could restore mailboxes.

Accidents happen, nobody is flawless and and you have to be able to restore from backup. We actually had to use a combination of mfc mapi and…

  18. Administrator should manage domains as "sub-tenents" in isolation

Administrator should be able to manage each domain separately. For Example in One Drive, if you try to share a folder, the invitation list will show users in other domains. This also goes for sharing Sharepoint Team documents. Administrator should have administer each domain as a separate group (like sub-tenents) Creating a tenant for each client requires an additional Administrator license which is redundant. One tenant Administrator should be able to manage multiple small customers in separate domains as sub-tenants which can be totally isolated. If you have many small clients this is necessary. If you have an enterprise having…

  19. The ability to assign admin roles to security groups

In large environments (mine is 80,000 users!) it is necessary to have a the various admin roles split across several teams and personnel. To control this easier it would be great if I could use security groups from AD sync'd to AAD then assign the admin role(s) to the group instead of individually to users.

  20. Report which shows the amount of OneDrive for Business storage per user.

    Hello,

It would be great to be able to compile reports which show the OneDrive for Business usage per user.

Reporting this idea by suggestion of Andy Sek:

RE: Check OneDrive for Business size per user
Reply by Andy Sek MSFT Support
    Hi Andy,
Currently, there is no report that includes the OneDrive for Business storage usage for each user. You may need to use the Global administrator account to access each OneDrive for Business to have a check.
To be honest, to get a report is a good idea. To better serve you, we would suggest that you submit…

We are currently working on this report. We will have a OneDrive site usage report that not only shows how much storage each OneDrive user is consuming, but also how many files they have on the site, and how much activity that site is experiencing.
