1. Change SharePoint Online tenant name

Due to "technical issues" we cannot change the .onmicrosoft.com tenant name; however, companies change names and merge constantly and instead of migrating from one tenant to another, the only thing that truly needs to be updated is the .sharepoint.com subdomain. A great feature would be to allow a change to this subdomain so that corporate alliances could be reflected with a better subdomain.

2. Need the ability to turn off "Notify my team" feature for document library upload

When uploading a document to a SharePoint library in "Modern Experience", the "Notify my team" option appears. We need the ability to turn this off because it triggered notification to all groups and/or users that have permission to the library. The groups can contain hundred of thousand of users causing hundred of thousand notification emails to be sent out to O365 organization. This is causing major business disruption. We would like to avoid this disruption by turning "Notify my team" feature. According to this tech community article (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/SharePoint/Modern-Library-quot-Notify-your-team-quot-option-after-upload/td-p/220338), there is currently no way to turn off this feature.

3. Allow default time zone in the office 365 groups be the local time zone of the tenant

When a Teams is created, the default time zone is UTC -8 h Pacific zone. This causes users in other time zones to see their documents uploaded to the Sharepoint associated with incorrect timestamps. The time zone with which the group of offfice365 is created should be the same as that of the user.

6. Properly delete an external users from o365

The problem is that some users receive an invitation to an email A and for some reason accept it with an email B.
Because of this, the user can't log into the site where he was invited with his email A.

I've investigated how to properly delete this user from our Sharepoint online plateform to unlink the email A and the email B in order to be able to resend a new invitation to email A.
I've proceed to the different steps explained in this KB : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3026478

And unfortunately, after all these powershell commands, the link between A and…

7. Users Can't Delete Folders When Site is On Preservation Hold

We have implemented Preservation Policies for our Onedrive sites and Sharepoint team sites, and now that this is in place our users can't delete folders that contain any files. This is exacerbated by the fact that Sharepoint sees OneNote notebooks as folders and these can't be deleted either.

So if a user has a folder in their Onedrive that contains OneNote notebooks, the folder can't be deleted and the OneNote can't be deleted. Please fix this as we are receiving support calls to fix this and are unable to help. We will continue to receive more support calls as Onedrive…

8. OneDrive External Sharing Reporting

Provide granular reporting information for end users who have shared content externally. Who they shared with, and what was shared. This should be more of a DLP report.

9. Access to Search Crawl Logs

Recently Microsoft removed the access to Search Crawl Logs for O365. They use to be available on SharePoint eDiscovery sites by creating a case. However, recently the eDiscovery sites were moved to the Security & Compliance center. During this move, the ability to access Crawl Logs was removed.

It is imperative that Admins have access to these logs. Many SharePoint solutions are moving to search based solutions. Right now, search is a black box to end users if there is an issue. Access to these logs will allow Admins to fix content issues in the site that is affecting search…

10. SharePoint Admins need better control over O365 Groups SharePoint sites

Recommended suggestions, see problems listed below.
1. Allow SharePoint Tenant Admins to have Owner over all SharePoint Group made sites.
2. Add/Enable standard SharePoint Permissions model to the Group made SharePoint sites. Owner/Member/Visitor with SharePoint tenant admins having default access to site permissions.
3. As in this post here https://office365.uservoice.com/forums/286611-office-365-groups/suggestions/17340160-associate-office-365-groups-to-existing-sharepoint
allow new Groups to connect with current SharePoint subsites as we have all our company under one main site collection with departments broken up into 100s of subsites. We need each of these subsites to potentially have this Group functionality. If not the users keep finding ways to make new…

11. SharePoint Online Audit Feature

Hippa and the Audit Feature in SharePoint Online. The feature in SharePoint Online does not capture the information about when and document is viewed by an individual or opened by an individual. This information is important for Hippa sensitive information. I would like to see the return of this capability on sites that are being audited

We are working on this feature. All file access events will be audited in the product, whether those events ultimately result in a person viewing the file or not. The data about who did what, when and from where, with every file stored in SharePoint will be made available through a compliance center UI and also through APIs that the customer or 3rd party analytics provider can access directly.

12. More/Custom Wild card managed path options for site collections in Online, like OnPremise ?

Why don't we have More/Custom Wild card managed path options for site collections in Online, like On Premise ?
This is a very useful option for sharepoint administrators to design the site collections for the organization.

13. Allow the admin to change the email address of (Sharepoint) groups from the O365 Admin

Would be great to allow the admin to change the email address of (Sharepoint) groups from the O365 Admin. Now the case is that once a group is created, the assigned email address cannot be changed.

14. Enable option to clear or delete the whole Preservation Hold Library

After removing the lock on the preservation hold library, we can delete items. However, it only allows us to delete files by batch However, it would be troublesome to delete files manually specially if the library contains around 1TB. So we need an option in the library settings that would allow to automatically clear preservation hold library or delete the library itself.

15. Disable Share and Get a Link Features from Site

The ability to Share or Get a Link for a file should NOT be automatically enabled. Both of these functions should be configurable for a site in the same way that the Follow feature is.

16. Monitoring role that can can read from management APIs (For SCOM, OMS, etc)

Currently you need a global admin account or a custom app (In Azure AD) to access the O365 Management APIs. Ideally, there would be an O365 role that would allow access to these providing global admin to the account. This would help companies follow a least-privileged model.

17. Allow ability to restrict O365 Group Members to EDIT, DELETE Team site pages

The regular members of the Team site should not be able to EDIT and/or DELETE pages, including but not limited to the homepage of the site. We have tried various tricks to achieve this via fiddling with SharePoint custom permissions, changing default permissions levels and reallocating permissions to the members group but they break connection to Teams in MS Teams and other office 365 shared services. We do not use SharePoint like Wiki where members should be allowed to add/edit pages, add/delete contents etc. This is a different use case and a major issue for organization, departments where someone goes…

18. PowerShell + SharePoint multi-factor authentication

Hi All,

I thing it would make SharePoint Online more secure if you could get PowerShell "SharePoint Online Management Shell" to work with SharePoint multi-factor authentication? So if I use a command like

Connect-SPOService -Url site-admin.sharepoint.com/ -credential users@domain.com

you also need addition authentication.

At work I need to connect to the company SharePoint online site using PowerShell on different company computers. I am always worried the computer I am using might have hidden spyware or a virus on.

Using PowerShell with SharePoint multi-factor authentication would make the connection more secure. Even if someone was able to get…

19. Set tenant-wide regional settings

Set the default regional settings for all of the O365 applications. At the moment, when a new group site is created, the time is set to (UCT-06:00) CT (US and Canada).
This impacts on the time put in to create these dynamic groups and is frustrating as an admin to change continuously.

20. Currently, external users are not able to see the profile pictures from user profiles

Currently, external users are not able to see the profile pictures from user profiles . All properties can be exposed but not the profile pictures as its stored in one drive and one drive is disabled for external users.
This is a defect in the design. MS should store the picture somewhere else so that external users can expose profile pictures too along with other properties.
