Please make New-MailboxExportRequest work in Exchange Online. I had to transfer mailboxes between tenants (national office was closing, city office became independent and needed their own Office 365), and I found that the method of going through a Content Search, then using Internet Explorer (SERIOUSLY?????) is dirty and unreliable. I tend to get PSTs with corrupted data in them and have to run the export requests multiple times. There should be a better solution for this in 2020 directly from Microsoft. Importing PSTs is a little funky, but LEAGUES ahead of exporting at this point.

Hard to believe this isn't an option still in 2020.

Agree this is a huge limitation. In order to off-board legacy users we need to archive their mailbox. The eDiscovery is a nice step, but it's way too complicated versus the original OnPrem Powershell tools.
Microsoft, please give us a feedback to this topic
Please give an update to this progress
This is already possible through powershell.
Users in the Microsoft Techcommunity have posted sample code starting from this post here:
It still requires the Universal Export Tool but further down the page they've posted code to automatically download and run that as well.
Something built-in to one of the office 365 powershell management modules would still be very appreciated though!
Muito bom se houvesse essa possibilidade.
This is my first visit to your blog. I found your blog very interesting and informative. Thanks for sharing such an amazing information with us.
The PST files exported with eDiscovery include hidden files no visible to a regular users. We should have the option to export a regular PST file that we can easily restored without the need of manual changes. Microsoft should have PowerShell option to easily export/import when needed. Thank you.

You can easily resolve that type of issues, with the help of Recoveryfix for Exchange Server Recovery tool. Because I had also faced that type of issue and I have used this tool. I was really satisfied after using this tool.

We need this feature urgently for audits and project follow-ups. Thanks
There is no powershell command in Office 365 (like Exchange On-premises) to export Office 365 Mailbox to PST best reliable way to export is using eDiscovery.
