Allow the admin to pin custom tiles to the app launcher for all users in the tenant
With the newly released update it is now easy for an admin to add a custom tile to the My Apps page. However, as an admin you still can't add this custom tile to the app launcher for any user except yourself.
For several companies it would be nice if you gave the admin the ability to add tiles directly to the app launcher for all users. For example when you want to link to the time management tool, public website etc.

Great news! This capability is included in in the recently updated Office 365 Roadmap entry: “Admin App Launcher Customization Tools” which can be found in the “In Development” section.

I would really like the option to pin a application to the 1st position on the app launcher.

This is dead - they cancelled it. Along with apparently cancelling their ability to update Uservoice.

Is this going to be added?

We dont see any "Working on It" since years.
Custom App Launcher with Target Audience Settings recommended... -

Could MS provide an update on this? Allowing Admins to promote custom tiles such as Intranet portals or start pages would seem to be in line with what MS want users to be able to do (with SharePoint Intranets portals etc). This request has not been updated for almost 2 years now despite it's popularity...

Please ensure that this will work as soon as possible, or if it is possible, better communicate how to achieve this.

Why did this die?

No updates, no mention in the road map, plenty of votes, plenty of comments.
I get it, marketing want to push the core apps, and I'm presuming someone's developed a product that lets you do this for a price?
OOTB only ever gets you so far with MS doesn't it?

4 year old suggestion. 2 year old "We're working on it" MS comment. Still nothing! Does MS ignore functionality over aesthetic updates (like dark mode and emojis). Hey MS, listen to your customers and do something.

I am unable to find this under the roadmap using the name "Admin App Launcher Customization Tools". I was wondering if there are additional features planned to allow the admin to create groups or sections of app tiles for organization.

This feature is requested on Jun 24, 2015. It's nearly almost four years. How can there be no action from Microsoft. This feature is need of the hour.

Like many others suggested, an update on this would be nice by MS or explanation why this may have been cancelled

Is there any update on this? The manual process of having each user pin a custom app is absurd

It's been a year and a half since working on it - any updates?

This is not on the roadmap. Such a simple thing
