Allow the admin to pin custom tiles to the app launcher for all users in the tenant
With the newly released update it is now easy for an admin to add a custom tile to the My Apps page. However, as an admin you still can't add this custom tile to the app launcher for any user except yourself.
For several companies it would be nice if you gave the admin the ability to add tiles directly to the app launcher for all users. For example when you want to link to the time management tool, public website etc.
Great news! This capability is included in in the recently updated Office 365 Roadmap entry: “Admin App Launcher Customization Tools” which can be found in the “In Development” section.
4000+ votes and now it's off the roadmap? C'mon microsoft... help us help you by actually communicating with us. The other half of this idea is managing tile visibility by group membership which I think is critical to delivering a complete solution: https://office365.uservoice.com/forums/273493-office-365-admin/suggestions/8544904-add-group-targeting-to-the-custom-tiles-for-o365
Microsoft, could we get an official response whether or not this will be seen on the road map under a new name or as part of new app launcher?

Note: Feature ID 14792 - Admin App Launcher Customization Tools has been cancelled. This feature would have implemented customization options for admins, including the ability to select and create custom tiles that appear in the user's 'HOME' view.
I am a big fan of user voice but this seems to have really fallen through the cracks. Please update status to be accurate or update roadmap to include this if its really being worked on!

There is nothing in the road map for this!
Please remove your "WORKING ON IT" as Microsoft is clearly not working on it and nothing is in the road map!
Can you tell us something about the roadmap entry "Admin App Launcher Customization Tools”?
Also looking for an admin update here as it appears this was removed from the roadmap.
As a corollary, allow Admins to REMOVE tiles from the App-launcher for all tenant users.
We did not have oneDrive enabled initially, as IT wanted to test it and develop policies on bit's use before rolling it out. Granting a SharePoint Online license automatically made the oneDrive tile appear. If we could have removed/concealed it until we were ready, that would probably have helped limit the number of frustrated users calling our help desk.

We could really use this functionality. Please stop working on stuff that changes the Outlook experience or adds useless functionality like some Delve junk and get working on this one please.
Look like clients could not pin tiles when created by administrator now.

Any update? If it was cancelled perhaps an explanation can be provided. I understand that the intent of the launcher is to be personal so MS may not want it to be admin controlled. However allowing admins to pin tiles/apps and then still allow end user to un-pin would be great. Every client we tell about Custom Tiles is super excited then super deflated when they find out it requires users doing multiple clicks.
Updates? - you must be joking.

Any update on this one?

Having customized tile experience will go a long way in reducing learning curve. Hope this feature finds a place in future updates.

Thanks, Ilija, for finding that reference! I suppose that explains it (depressingly), but it would be nice to have the admin response here at least match (even if it is a big thumbs down to users).
The Office 365 Weekly Digest from 2017-09-04 stated "Note: Feature ID 14792 - Admin App Launcher Customization Tools has been cancelled. This feature would have implemented customization options for admins, including the ability to select and create custom tiles that appear in the user's 'HOME' view."
It does not appear in the roadmap, as cancelled or otherwise. Is there a planned replacement for it, or are admins going to be expected to ask every user in their tenant to add a tile to their app launcher?

Same issue here, I don't see it in the Roadmap.
