Enable management and reporting of Office ProPlus using Admin portal and/or PowerShell. What version? How many installs? etc
I would like to report installs by user. Similar to Telemetry dashboard with how many installs a user is using vs remaining installs. Machine name (because I have seen duplicates using 2 licenses on 1 machine). Usage. Is the user a heavy Excel user, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
Pleae provide something to see username installs and Devicename!
please add cmdlet in powershell to retrieve installed device names and dates by a user.

Adding Hostname and OS version with Installation Status would be of great help in managing overall Devices in O365 or Azure. Presently it only shows the count and platform in reports>Usage>O365 Activations.
3 more votes here, come on Microsoft help us help you, these reporting weaknesses and lack of responsiveness to user requests just fuels the anti-MS bias in the world.
At a minimum give us the variable name so we can pull it ourselves via PowerShell...

is there any way to extract microsoft office 365 (licnse office365_Business) last login time of a user using powershell.
Almost 5 years and still nothing. This is a requirement for managing and auditing.

Yes, please add my vote for this. It's going to take hours of work for 100+ users. Probably less than that to code a report since the data exists in the portal already. Technical support confirmed that this isn't available even in powershell. Can your portal developers please add this functionality. Would make life easier for all the admins out there. Thanks for your help.

I have up-voted this as it is a required tool for auditing, databases are only as effective if there is no possibility of human error.
*T_Howland* obviously doesn't believe in auditing but should look into it.
I have not up-voted this idea because in all honesty, your organisation should prioritize IT / Software Asset Management.
ITAM / SAM processes and policies, which is a C-level imperative (refer to Gartner & Microsoft), have the ability to manage and maintain a complete and accurate CMDB, which will include this level of information.

Martins, I upvoted this because machine name is missing. We've found that some of our users are still using Office 2016 on their corporate computer and have installed Office 365 on their personal computer. The count will show 1, but they still haven't installed O365 ProPlus on their corporate computer. With the machine names listed, we'd be able to tell that.

I didn't put a vote on this. Here's why.
Something very similar is already available in Office 365 admin portal in the reports section.
Reports>Usage>Office Activations>Export the excel file>Filter by users with Office ProPlus>Filter by Blank. What's left is a list of all users that have not activated ProPlus. This data is updated every 24 to 48hrs. So expect some blanks to change when you check back another day (the blank is replaced with the date of activation when a user activates ProPlus).
You could also get this data using Microsoft Graph API request via the browser or connect to Graph API through Powershell and run your request accordingly from there.
Using your export and your machine inventory (if you documented this while issuing machines to users), you could match that against each user and easily identify what you need.
What I would like to see though, is more useful data in the Graph API exports.

This is really important to identify users who are licensed but are not actually using any licenses. We should also be able to see the last time that a device "checked-in" so stale devices can be removed. These would allow for proper custodianship.

As per just about everyone on the forum - As an admin a full report of activation's against machine names is needed for a whole host of reasons and I can' t believe it is not available at present.
Report to provide activation with computer name and version per user would be most helpful
Concreate activation of installations on the computers it is very important for our IT and for license usage inventory and optimization of use.
Reiterating: a basic list of what version of the software is installed on what machine/via what account should be available via the Admin portal. I would also like to be able to push out different versions of the install via that portal--switching someone between semi-annual/monthly channels, for example.
