SIMPLE way to just "tell Office 365 that the website will be hosted at Wix"
Let me be clear.
The domain was bought through Office365.
The email, calendar, apps, etc. EVERYTHING should then be Office365.
ALL I want to do is have the website pointed at Wix.
Based on what I know of DNS, that means I need to do it through Microsoft. But the Domains area doesn't let you admin the nameservers like Wix is asking.
Fine, so then Office365 needs to provide the website, I actually don't care where it's hosted, but Office365 discontinued that and instead links you to Wix. Which doesn't help.
There needs to be a SIMPLE function that just says "update your new domain to use Wix website" and it knows what to do through Wix/Microsoft APIs just like you do for domain purchase.
WARNING: Do not buy domain for first time use if you need to direct an ip address to that domain. You are provided limited services with the Office365 admin portal and it is held with Wild West as the registrar. Wild West can't access your account because Microsoft holds the domain technically. So you are locked out of access to your domain for 60 days due to internet restrictions being able to transfer the domain.
Also, please see my post about my similar Bluehost problem that I posted at this location. The Github write up is at: https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/OfficeDocs-O365ITPro/issues/392#issuecomment-479455535
I have the same request as the above, except my host is Bluehost and not WIX. I believe that it should be "automatic" for the MS Nameservier data to be updated as soon as I press the button in Office365 to set up my email. Instead, I had to cut and paste the correct nameserver data in, per the following instructions: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/admin/dns/change-nameservers-at-bluehost?redirectSourcePath=%2FArticle%2F7712b6af-329c-43a0-af7b-c4e4c1befb0e&view=o365-worldwide#feedback
