Default Policy Assignment in Skype for Business Online
When a new user or a migrated user is created for Skype for Business. The user is assigned specific policies; which provide them with all the features as shown below:
MobilityPolicy : MobilityEnableOutsideVoice
ConferencingPolicy : BposSAllModality
ExternalAccessPolicy : FederationAndPICDefault
However on-premise when a new user is created; they're given the "Global" policy by default which is usually the most basic access/restrictive you want anyone in the business to have.
This is not the case online, instead it's the opposite; coupled with the fact that the "Global" policy is the only one we can actively change; it seems counterintuitive that "Global" is not the default Policy.
My idea is to either allow us to change the default policies that get assigned when a user is created/migrated, or set the "Global" policy as the default. This would save time, instead of having to blanket script everyone, plus when they get created to the policies we want set.

I would like to be able to assign policies to groups, then on-premises accounts can be added to groups to get the appropriate policies applied to them.
Totally agree with this suggestion. Ideally we should be able to select which policies are assigned to new accounts by default so that we could select the Global policy or, indeed, a custom policy that we create.
